THOSE WERE THE DAYS... OLD PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE HISTORIC SITES IN METRO MANILA

The Old Quiapo area with the Plaza Miranda and the tower of the Basilica of the Black Nazarene.

I took these shots at the rest room of Crown Regency Hotel in Makati City last January 21, 2009 during the KBP General Meeting. One of the KBP officials saw me taking shots on the painting of the famous Filipino painter, Malang and advised me to take also the pictures of the old photographs in the rest room. I did. And now here they are.

This is the Old EDSA or Epifanio de los Santos Avenue. The future site of two People Power Revolution in the Philippines. Now this area is covered by high rise buildings and spacious Malls. The old building seen afar is the Meralco Building, unless I am mistaken.

This is the famous Old Jai-Alai building which is unfortunately demolished already. Unfortunately for the architecture of the building and not on the game. He,he,he... I have never seen a real one.

This is Luneta Park and Rizal Monument. You can compare it with the latest one in the next picture. Check also the previous post.
