After the special presentation of the Vox Orphanorum inside the Chapel everybody proceeded to the Main Entrance of Casa Miani for the Blessing and Cutting of Ribbon. Bishop John Du, DD recites the Rite of Blessing. He is accompanied by Fr. Luigi Brenna, CRS [right] while Fr. Gabriele Scotti, CRS is praying silently nearby.
One of the boys under our care positioned himself on the best place in front of the Bishop to have a better view of everything. He was not aware that the reason why that place is empty because the ribbon was to be cut. Until the cutting of the ribbon no one dared to remove the boy from the main spot because the House is actually built for him and for his companions.

Finally the cutting of the Ribbons signifying the official Opening of the House.

The beautiful statue of St. Jerome Emiliani giving an instant overview of his life and spirituality: He is carrying a Cross, surrounded by children, giving bread to the hungry from a single basket and teaching the kids to read pointing to Jerome's giving importance to Catholic Education and active Catechesis for the people.

Our Father Provincial, Fr. Gabriele Scotti, CRS blesses the statue of St. Jerome Emiliani.

Fr. Provincial and one of our special guests cutting the Ribbon in front of St. Jerome Emiliani's statue and near the Main Gate. One of the boys is holding the plate with the scissor.
In front of the Seminary a group of Social Workers in Cebu gave us the honor to cut the Ribbon.
While the Bishop and priests were going around to bless the Casa Miani and the Formation House the Vox Orphanorum was singing appropriate songs for the occasions.
