BRO. CENON BIBE'S RESPONSE TO RODIMUS' APOLOGY

St. Paul Proclaiming the Faith in Areopagus of Athens with Courage and Zeal

This message is posted in Rodimus' own Blog right in the comment section where his STATEMENT OF APOLOGY is written. I decided to share it here because the message of our beloved Bro. Cenon really touches my heart because it is as if my own soul is speaking through it. Here it is:

For the longest time, we Catholics have been the subject of sinister and rabid yet unfounded criticism from all sides.
For the longest time, majority of us Catholics remained silent, taking the blows as it were because we value offering Christian charity than seeking retribution.
Recent events, however, showed that silence has become less an option for many Catholics. Many no longer choose to stay quiet while we are bombarded with blind and unjust accusations.
While charity remains a virtue we strive to uphold, many of us will not stand by idly and watch while anti-Catholic rhetoric is bounced around us.
Many will be vigilant and many will respond if the GOD's TRUTH deposited in the CATHOLIC FAITH and in the CATHOLIC CHURCH is ATTACKED.
I accept your apology and I offer you mine. I'm sorry that I responded eye for an eye and if I hurt or offended anyone's feelings, particularly yours.
May I assure you that we welcome CRITICISMS and QUESTION about our FAITH that will allow us to RESPOND and EXPLAIN our beliefs and practices.
I pray that future exchanges will be more cordial and enlightening to all, and will lead to better understanding between the faiths.

N.B. May I also add that our separated brethren must be very careful not to thread on something that is very dear to our faith. We Catholics are deeply in loved with the Blessed Virgin Mary after Jesus the Lord and King. Being the Mother of the Messiah, we accord her honor and respect much greater than the First Lady of the Nation. Any insult against Mary, especially concerning her Virginity, is enough for Catholic Knights to draw their Swords and fight to the finish. If we cannot allow insults to the purity of our mothers, sisters and girlfriends how much more to the Woman chosen by God to be the Mother of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Inasmuch as we want to live in peace and extend charity to everyone. We don't want to be attacked and be punching bags. The time for silence has ended. It is time not only to defend the faith we have inherited from the Apostles but also to meet the challenges in any forum: in the web, in the public square and in the media.

    I have great respect to the Apologists of St. Peter's Men Society. When I was a young lad my Lolo and I used to visit Quiapo to learn apologetics from St. Peter's Men Society with the former president of the group Bro. Rolly. Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke then which hampered his apostolate. He was very good and kind.

Marami na rin po akong nababasa na mga depensa laban sa mga kalaban ng simbahan. At ako po'y nagagalak na meron ganitong organisasyon para patotohanan ang ating pananampalataya lalo na ang tamang turo ng ating inang simbahan.

    Gusto ko po sana magtanong tungkol po sa tirada nang mga protestante at mga born again na di daw preserve ang ating bibliya gawa ng Mark 16:9-20. Pano ko po ba ito pasisinungalingan. At yung tungkol po sa Eph 2:8.

    Masugid din po akong tagasubaybay ni bro cenon.

    Sabihin mo sa kanila na ang Mark 16:9-20 ay NASA PROTESTANTENG BIBLIA NA KING JAMES VERSION. He, he, he... Kaya kung mamasamain nila ng desisyon ng Iglesia Catolica na tanggapin ang mga talatang iyan bilang Canonical, e di matatamaan din sila dahil nakalagay din sa Biblia nila.

    At kung talagang masama ito bakit inilagay uli nila sa kanilang New International Version.

    Kaya makikita mo na nagsisinungaling sila sa iyo at gumagawa ng kaipokrituhan.

    Walang sinasabi dyan na tayo ay naligtas sa pamamagitan ng PANANAMPALATAYA LAMANG. Hindi yan sumusuporta sa FAITH ALONE doctrine nila. Iyan ay nagsasabi na ang kaligtasan ay ipinagkaloob sa pamamagitan ng GRASYA.

    Dahil ito ay sa pamamagitan ng Grasya, hindi sa pamamagitan ng gawa. Subalit sa verse 10 sinasabi na tayo ay nilikha ni Cristo para sa MABUTING GAWA. Ibig sabihin ang grasyang ating tinanggap ay bunga ng ating pananampalataya at magbibigay sa atin ng kakayahang Gumawa ng Mabutin.

    Kaya ang kaligtasan ay bunga ng Grasya ni Cristo at nagkakaloob ng Pananampalataya na may kalakip na Mabuting Gawa. Hindi Faith Alone kundi Faith at Good Works.
