Rodel and Ricky of Casa Miani Sorsogon
Yesterday, I visited Casa Miani to greet our Somascan Religious who are in Sorsogon for the Seminar. Of course I also wanted to see our lay collaborators joining in the same seminar. They are the members of Foster Parents Association, Social Workers, Secretaries, Catechists, Teachers in our Schools and even cooks and helper in the house. I will show you their faces in the next post.
The Beautiful Image of St. Jerome surrounded by joyful kids carved on volcanic rocks. There is the inscription declaring St. Jerome Emiliani's sublime love of the needy youth and the orphans: "I want to live and die with them." He did live and die with them.
The goal of the seminar is to help the religious and all those who are working or helping in our institutions to be properly equipped in helping, teaching and understanding the children.
Before focusing on the persons I want to show you first the venue of the event which is no other than the Casa Miani "Augusta and Piera" in Sorsogon City, my home for 6 years of service with the Orphans.

The two rooms previously serving as study rooms for boys have been transformed as refectory. It is better and more practical because this area is closer to the Kitchen.
The window separating the refectory from the Kitchen. There is a door connecting both further at the left side.

The pathways of the Casa Miani, this time filled with seminar participants waiting for the start of the talks
The previous refectory is now the classrooms and for the occasion it has been transformed into Session Hall
