THE ORATIO IMPERATA FOR H1N1 VIRUS [SWINE FLU]

The aircraft of Cebu Pacific that I carried us to Sorsogon in one of my previous trips.

All over the world there is fear of the Swine Flue virus. The anxiety over this desease is not unfounded because it already claimed several lives. It is shown on TV that in some parts of the glove people preferred to live with masks on their nose and mouth while in almost all airports security and screening have been heightened to prevent further spread of the deadly virus.

The Mayon Volcano serene and deadly at the same time

Even the home coming of our legendary Sports Hero Manny Pacquiao had been affected. The grand motorcade that was supposed to be held today had been called off for next week and he was advised to keep distance to people. It's a pity that it happened this way yet we have to take precautions because viruses know no heroes. Thus, in order to support the Medical and Scientific quests of the entire world to contain the deadly viruses the Catholic Church in the Philippines joined its Mexican counterpart in praying for Divine Intervention during this time of crises.

It is expessed in an official prayer called ORATIO IMPERATA wherein the prayer of petition is being recited in all Masses and Churches where it is issued and all Catholics in the area are called to pray for Divine Intervention. The last time the Archdiocese of Manila invoked the Oratio Impera wherein the Cardinal requested the Lord and Master of Creation to unleash rain over the Philippine fields to end the drought, the following day rain started falling after months of dryness. Hopefully, this time our collective prayers all over the world will lead to the immediate solution of the crisis.

Since it was recited in last Sunday it has blessed our country because no case of Swine Flue had been found here so far. I hope it will continue that way and not only that, we pray that the entire world be cleansed of this desease. The Lord of Creation indeed unleased the power of nature by Oratio Imperata; let us now invoked Him now as THE DIVINE HEALER to grant healing to His human family the wold over.

Below is the text of ORATIO IMPERATA:

As the world watches with anxiety and vigilance the spread of the H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu) we turn to our loving Father in heaven for protection and guidance. Upon the order of our Archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, I am issuing an Oratio Imperata on the H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu) so that we can collectively bring our supplications through prayer.
Please pray the Oratio Imperata, kneeling down after Holy Communion, at every Mass starting on Sunday, May 3, 2009, In praying we unite ourselves with all our brothers and sisters suffering with the disease, bring up to God our longing for them to be restored to full health and humbly asking Him to spare us the sickness. Let it also be our pastoral duty to remind our faithful to heed the health recommendations of our health experts and officials so that we prevent the acquisition and spread of the disease.
Thank you.

Oratio Imperata for Swine Flu
God, Our loving Father we come to you in our need to ask your protection against the Swine flu that has claimed the lives of many in Mexico and has affected many more not only there but in other countries as well.
We ask for your grace for the people tasked with studying the nature and cause of this disease and of stemming the tide of its transmission. Guide the hands and minds of medical experts that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion, and of those in government and private agencies that must find cure and solution to this disease.
We pray for those afflicted, may they all be restored to health soon.
Grant us the grace always to be filled with hope that you watch over us with love and providence and that your will for us is always good.
We make our prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ your son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, pray for us.
Saint Roque, pray for us.

  2. Dear Bro. Mars,

O yes, Brother. And you are very lucky to have grown up in one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. Under the wings of the majestic Mayon Volcano.
