Our Friends and Religious Brothers from Tagaytay City Visited Aemilianum College

Yesterday afternoon, we received an unexpected visit from three of our Somascan Religious from Tagaytay Major Seminary, namely: Bro. Erwin, Bro. Ruben and Bro. Enrico. They are accompanied by a group of young ladies who are volunteered catechists in Tagaytay. They are helping the Brothers in teaching the children in the area. They came from a very long travel so they were wearing light travelling clothes appropriate for tropical climate.

The group visiting the Masters of Information Technology Lab and was met by Mr. Aries Ordoñes, our Department Head.

The group is here in Sorsogon in order to attend the coming Casa Miani Seminar for those who are working with Orphans or Children in our Institutes. The said seminar starts today May 20 until May 22, 2009. Several Somascan Religious from various parts of the country are coming and they are accompanied by some lay coordinators working or serving in our Houses for the Needy Children.

The three brothers mentioned above just graduated from theological studies in Divine Word School of Theology in Tagaytay City and based on reports with flying colors. They were Magna cum Laude if I'm not mistaken but I am sure that they are indeeed very bright young religious and multi talented.

The same brothers are already preparing for their ordination to the Diaconate. Bro. Erwin and Bro. Enrico are scheduled already to be ordained a deacon by our beloved Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle, DD, STD our Dogma professor. Bro. Ruben and Bro. Ronald Badillo are also preparing but there is no date yet for their ordination.

Usually, our religious who have finished their studies are being given their assignments during the summer. I've been informed that Bro. Ruben will go to Somascan College Seminary in Lubao, Pampanga to be prefect of seminarians and to teach while Bro. Erwin will remain in Tagaytay to be the one in-charge of our seminarians from Flores, Indonesia.

The group enjoyed their visit by roaming around the TV studio, the MIT Department, the College of Law and the Convent.
