THE ORDINATION TO THE ORDER OF DEACONS OF REV. ERWIN MANALANG, CRS AND REV. ENRICO BALDERRAMA, CRS Part 1

The Icon of the Pantokrator in front of the Lectern

For more several days I was not able to post in this blog because I was sent to Tagaytay City to represent our Aemilianum Community at the Ordinations to the Diaconate of Rev. Erwin Manalang and Rev. Enrico Balderrama. These two are dear to the hearts of the people of Sorsogon because Rev. Enrico is a native of the place and Rev. Erwin was assigned in Casa Miani Sorsogon for two years during his practicum.

The Easter Candle

I was not alone during this travel because I was asked to bring a camera man from AITV5 to videotaped the event and capture it on DVD. So, I brought with me Jose Capsa, Jr. the most senior of all our technical staff. He is a dedicated young man with sense of responsibility and a truly good person at heart.

The Ordination Mass was scheduled at 9:30am and we arrived at Tagaytay little nervous for being late about 9:15. Well, no need to worry because the Bishop was caught by traffic so the Mass was moved a little later. Because of that delay I was able to roam around taking pictures of the entire Chapel of the Holy Angels and got the chance to talk to the Somascan confreres from various parts of the country, to the Sisters from various religious orders and to our friends from Tagaytay.

It is also wonderful to meet again our Seminarians from Flores, Indonesia. These Indonesian seminarians are also very joyful, they speak English very well and intelligent. They have started speaking Filipino too. I was informed by their formators that they will stay in Tagaytay to study Philosophy.

    Dear Fr. Abe,

    Peace and Goodness!

Wow Father, I was delighted to see your congregation produced two deacons, I am happy for them.

In Behalf of Our Organization, Student Catholic Action, I am extending my Felicitations for both of them and rest assured of Our daily prayers and Holy Masses for their perseverance and patience. May Our Lady cover them with her holy mantle.

May God bless you and Mary keep you always!

  2. Dear Bro. Jayson,

PRAISE BE JESUS CHRIST, NOW AND FOREVER!

Thank you very much for sharing our joy in the ordinations of our two deacons. I assure you that these two brothers of ours are very dedicated workers in the vineyard of the Lord.

Truly they are a blessing to the Church and to our Congregation. Rev. Erwin graduated Magna cum Laude in Theology and is a very hardworking and humble person. While Rev. Enrico is now assigned in our Orphanage in Dumaguete City, a true servant of the charity of Christ.

I also pray for your youth members so that they will grow in faith and love. May the Lord inspire the fire of Sacred Vocations in their hearts.

    God bless you always.

    Dear Father Abe,

    Peace and Goodness!

Wow Father, good to hear that po. I cannot just hide my inmost joy for these 2 Deacons of Somascan Congregation. I will pray for their perseverance, dedication, zeal and patience in serving the Lord for His greater glory and for the Sanctification of Souls.

Yes please do pray for our youth po to discern their vocation. Actually Father, in our Organization (Student Catholic Action) we had already produced vocations po. in my generation, we had 2 (one is a simple - professed nun at Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate and the other is a seminarian - novice of the Franciscan Conventuals in Tagaytay) but, if I am goign to sum up from the time during the 60's upt to the present, we had 10 or more. If I could still recall, 1 is a bishop(Bishop Rolando Tirona), there is a PDDM nun, a salesian sister, a Monfort seminarian and a Hospitaller Brother. so far po, these are the ones whom I met when they visited their alma mater (CEU). but I guess po, we have many aside from I have mentioned po.

Today po, we have 4 (3 men and 2 women. the two out of three is me and Bro. TJ)

the two whom I mentioned (a novice of conventual and a nun of Franciscan Sisters), I was the one who helped them po (hindi naman po sa pag mamayabang po Father, with all honesty po)to introduced the congregations to them kaya po im so happy na nakatulong po ako Father sa kanila. sabi ko po, pleae pray for me always that the Lord may help to mould vocations to other youth and to discern also my vocation.

Sorry po Father, napa kwento po ako, its just that i cannot hide my gladness in serving the Lord with love.

Thank you po ulit Father and May the Lord preserve you from all harm and evil with Our Lady's grace and love.

In the Light of the Immaculate,

    Bro. Jayson

  5. Dear Bro. Jayson,

Grace and Peace be upon you.

Brother, thank you very much for being an inspiration to young people and for helping them find their way to Jesus in consecrated life.

What you are doing is precious in the eyes of God. You are leading young souls to Jesus. You are like St. Philip inviting Nathanael to see the Lord Jesus.

Let us praise the Lord because the Faith of CEU founders are alive and strong until this contemporary times. Vocations are arising out of their students and right in their own school. The spiritual blessings coming out of this is too many to be counted.

Keep up the good work Brother because by doing so you are not only giving glory to God you are saving souls. It will cancel a multitude of sins and lead you into the Heavenly Kingdom of God, forever.

    AVE MARIA!!!

  6. Praised be Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

    Dear Fr. Abe,

    Ave Maria!

Wow Father, Thank you very much po for your words of inspiration to me. I thank the Lord and to Our Lady for this kind of exquisite gift that He gave me. A gift that beckoned our two members who are already entered. Maybe that is the reason why that is the reason I did not pursue my vocation for the time being when I was in highschool. I was about to enter in the conventual franciscans (i passed all the requirements except one: at least 2nd year college) I was then highschool at that time Father. Honestly, I was sad and felt bad na hindi po ako natuloy. maybe, this is the message of the Lord for me: to help for the time being the youth outside. Now I know the reason na po. He even beckoned me to take up MA in Guidance and Counseling for this purpose.

Father Abe, With the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Blessed Mother and your words of inspiration, I promise and vow to help the youth in discerning their vocations in life, to beckon them to Our Lord and Our Lady and to extend what ever help I could give.

Wala na po akong mahihihngi pa Father. pag masya po sila, whatever their vocation in life, as long as they are in the state of grace, masaya na rin po ako.

Thank you very much again Father and always pray fo me po that I have physical, emotional and spiritual strength in Fulfilloing God's mission for His greater glory and for the sanctification of souls.

God bless you Father and Mary keep you always!

In the Light of the Immaculate,

    Bro. Jayson

  7. Dear Bro. Jayson,

Once you serve as a light bearer for others the light of Christ will shine within your soul. Always bear in mind that your acts of charity by which you are helping young people to follow Christ will be remembered in the very Heart of God and of the Immaculate Mother.

Keep up the good work Brother. We are with you in prayers and in friendship.

    God bless you.

THE LORD BEHOLDS THE CHILDREN OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND KEEP THEM CLOSE TO HIS HEART. ALLELUIA!
