The Holy Child Parish of Molino, Cavite viewed from its right side
For several months I was not able to present Catholic local churches in the Philippines. So now having given the oppurnity I hereby present another one and two others are in the line up.
The Main Facade of the Parish
This is the parish of the Holy Child in Molino, Cavite. I was privileged to visit this church because of the 25th Anniversary of Sis. Emmy whom I will feature after this one.
The Interior of the Church adorned for the Silver Anniversary of Religious Life of Sis. Emmy Matanguihan and a young Somascan Novice who will profess her first vows
I find this parish very beautiful. We went there Saturday morning but the place was very quiet, the church is very beautiful. I found its design and altar truly fitting for the worship of God. It looks like the churches of our forefathers during the 18th century and the use of marbles on the sanctuary provides sense of grandeur to it.
Even though the patron is the Holy Child [Who is Jesus of course], the one honored at the main Altar of the parish is the Resurrected Christ adorned by an Angel and with a collapsed soldier guard.
I also loved the fact that the Resurrection is given prominence in the High Altar and it is also great that the pillars are decorated with the 12 Apostles reminding us of the Book of Revelation wherein the Apostles became the pillars of the New Jerusalem.
The Altar of the Eucharistic Sacrifice is very beautiful. It is made of white and red marbles. Majestic in appearance.
The lectern of the Word of God is also made of white and red marbles
The image of the Patron. It's a unique Sto. Niño because the Lord is not dressed in majestic robe which is His common appearance. Instead, He is attired as if a Victorious Warrior.
A very cute angel guards the candelabra
The beautiful image of Our Lady at the right side of the Main Altar
The Blessed Sacrament
An Angel holding the container of Holy Water
The image of the Perpetual Help near the Entrance of the Church
The red and orange bricks used on the walls of the Church gave it an ancient and majestic look. It is even highlighted by the statues of the 12 Apostles on top of each pillar inside the Church.
The Belfry of the Parish Church
The Church with its parking lot at the right side
The Choir Loft
The image of the Holy Spirit adorns each of the bench
A very beautiful Cross at the end of the Church
The Celebrants' Chairs
St. Lorenzo de Manila, the first Filipino Saint and Martyr
Blessed Pedro Calungsod, the young Filipino catechist & martyr
A Cherubim carrying the Holy Water basin
The Exterior Altar of the Our Lady of Fatima at the right side of the parish
This garden and the side views of the Church give me an impression as if I was in Intramuros, Manila
The Icon of Our Lady at the back of the Church
The Santo Intierro at the back of the Church
The Entrance Door to the Adoration Chapel
Angels announcing the words of Christ in the Gospel: "Come to me all you who are weary..." This is on the top of the Entrance to the Adoration Chapel.
The left side of the Parish
The Altar of the Holy Child
St. Peter carrying his Epistle on top of the pillar
In another pillar there is St. Peter again carrying the Key of the Kingdom of Heaven
The Holy Family statue as they were rushing to Egypt because the Child was in danger of death due to Herod's murderous order to massacre the infants.
A wonderful declaration of the Church's defense of life and the unborn: PRAYER FOR THE UNBORN AND PRAYER FOR THE ABORTED BABIES.
Our Lady of Lourdes at the back of the parish rectory

I miss this church...I grew up in Pag-Asa...We move there when I was one...that was 33 years ago... Yes... That makes us the first Family to Live in Pag-Asa in Phase I to be exact...I was a member of Choir until I left for U.S. 10 years ago...The memories still there...Like my father say...Pag-Asa will progress maybe after 10-15 years after we move...He's right...My mother and my father love this church...a Knights of columbus member and my mom a Sacred Heart of Jesus...My dad passed away last year...and held his memorial service in this church... I hope the people remember him in there prayers...and Im hoping one day to visit this church again...
ReplyDeleteTo the head priest...I thank you...
Prayers for my father...
If people still remeber him...
Mr. Horacio "Jerry Hapon" Brillantes...
God Bless...
Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI understand what you feel because my father was a faithful and dedicated servant of the Church, particularly in our parish, too. Like your father he is a member of the Knight of Columbus also and was a lay minister of the Eucharist until he retired due to old age and health reasons.
For sure, many people still remember your father in that parish and for sure all his good works are forever shrined in the living history of that parish. His sacrifices are in the very heart of God. Don't forget the saying: "Those who served the Lord in righteousness shall shine like the stars in eternity."
God bless you and the soul of your dear father.
Hi Father,

ReplyDeleteHi Father,
ReplyDeleteI am planning to get married here po very soon. Would you know po how much it costs recently? Sana po makapagbigay din kayo ng contact number para matawagan ko yung church.
Salamat po

AS I EXPLAINED ABOVE, I DON'T HAVE ANY CONNECTION WITH THAT PARISH.
ReplyDeletegood afternoon father.. i just wanna ask if pwede ko po ba pabinyagan yung baby ko sa molino parish kahit wala po kaming marriage contract ng asawa ko hinde pa po kasi kami kinakasal. dito po kami nakatira sa camella homes. Salamat
ReplyDeleteAS IVE SAID I DO NOT BELONG TO THIS PARISH. I AM NOT ASSIGNED THERE.
ReplyDeleteI am proud to be a native of Bahayang Pagasa. All of us (my 2 brothers and I) were given baptism and confirmation there. I am now 20 years of age and still goes to church at Sto Nino de Molino. Though the new patron of the church is San Ezekiel Moreno, the name will still remain the same. :)
ReplyDeletedear fr. abe.
ReplyDelete,
greetings of peace to you father.my husband and i were married for almost 18yrs come may 25,civil wedding lang po eto father.now that my husband has finally come to his senses,he proposed for a church wedding last december.he is an ofw kaya isa rin po eto sa mga dahilan kung bakit kami inabot ng ganito.im just so thankful to the lord that, sumali po sya sa isang gawain sa saudi wherein ginamit po ni lord ang mga taong nakakasama nya para mabuksan ang isip at mata nya sa importance ng church wedding.we have 2kids,college and high schoolna po ang mga eto.he will be arriving this april 27 and back to ksa on the 1st of june,we would like to take advantage of the time and get married right away but for some factors,i am bothered father. i would like my wedding to be the simplest church wedding ever,i dont want to be wasting too much money on the entourage and other financial expenses related to it.sa mga sponsors po kse,sa age naming 45 & 46,we cannot find a person na older and well experienced to stand as our sponsors.kung pwede lang po sanang kaming apat lang ang nasa wedding,it would be alright, what matters to me now,ay makita kami ng aming mga anak na maikasal sa harap ng simbahan.pwede po ba ang ganitong set-up father?sa mga napili po kase naming magiging sponsors nung kamiy mag-uumpisa pa lamang ay yumao na po.would it be ok if other members of the church would sign as witness?blessing po ng ating panginoon ngayon ang aking pinapahalagahan at wala na pong iba.hope you could enlighten me on this matter father.i would really appreciate your reply.salamat po. and pls pray for me and my family.
SALAMAT SA PANGINOON AT NAGISING NA ANG IYONG ASAWA AT GUSTO NANG MAGPAKASAL SA SANTA IGLESIA. THE BEST THING TO DO AY KAUSAPIN MO ANG IYONG PARISH PRIEST AT SABIHING GUSTO MO NG SIMPLENG KASAL. SUBALIT KAILANGAN NA MERON KAYONG KAHIT NA ISANG NINONG O NINANG... MAGANDA ANG PLANO MO NA WAG NANG GUMASTOS PA NG HUSTO.
