A Marian procession in Sta. MAria Bulacan where Jollibee was one of the sponsors!
In one of our posts in Ecclesia Dei Philippines Forum, the son of our beloved music icon Diomedes Maturan, Kuya Dennis Maturan, posted the above photo of another Philippine icon Jollibee. Surprisingly, the Jollibee mascot is shown pushing the cart carrying the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The forum members suddenly found themselves grasping for words on how to describe the scene. The work of bees is lauded in liturgy! From the Paschal Proclamation of the Easter Vigil:
Wherefore, in this sacred night, receive, O holy Father, the evening sacrifice of this incense, which holy Church renders to Thee by the hands of Thy ministers in the solemn offering of this wax candle, made out the work of bees.
Now also we know the praises of this pillar, which the shining fire enkindles to the honor of God. Which fire, although divided into parts, suffers no loss from its light being borrowed. For it is nourished by the melting wax, which the mother bee produced for the substance of this precious light.

Yup Popes and bishops have placed them in their coat of arms and candles before should only be made of beeswax! But this is a colorful bee of course not your regular one! Yum Yum! [Dennis Raymond Maturan]

The King of Bees simply represents his kingdom by expressing gratitude to John the Baptist who is so fond of Honey Bee, thus, the yummiest of bees hereby honors John's dearest Aunt -- the Queen of the World whose faith is like Honey from the Rock. He, he, he... [Fr. Abe, CRS]
