KBP SORSOGON CHAPTER MEDIA OLYMPICS 2009, Part 1 Media Promotions

Last August 13-15, 2009 The association of media practitioners in Sorsogon Province [KBP Sorsogon Chapter] organized and successfully hosted the first ever gathering of all Media Practitioners and their stations' staff. It was known as The Media Olympics 2009 with the motto: Together As One!

The event is historic for the province because it is the first time that the prominent and active media practitioners in the area came together for 3 days and played together in various events and signed covenants.

In the photo above we can see one of the preparations for the historic event. Several KBP officials went on radio and tv to promote the Media Olympics. That photo is taken during our appearance in AITV5 Campus Talk. I was one of the panel guests being the KBP Vice President in Sorsogon but I decided not to join the photo shot because I was the one holding the camera. It was so wonderful to see together these people who are very famous in the society through their own radio and tv programs yet rarely seen in company of each other in one program. The people of Sorsogon and the mediamen appreciated it very much.

By so doing, we showed to our people that we are not ruled by selfish competitions but by mature relationships united by love for truth and for the welfare of the people.

Besides appearing in AITV5 the KBP officials also had a interconnected broadcast wherein the same program is being aired in all participating networks while the managers were explaining and discussing about the Media Olympics.
