Sorsogon City Bids Sis. Angelina Bigtas, MS Goodbye

Sis. Angie Bigtas, MS enjoys a hearty laugh during Despedida Party for her

Last week the Somascan Family in Sorsogon, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and Orphans held a Despedida Party to bid Sis. Angie Bigtas, MS goodbye. She served as a Superior of the Somascan Sisters in Sorsogon for both the Convent and the St. Jerome Academy, a prep school and stayed in this city for more than a year.

Being a Somascan Missionary Sister, Angie is dedicated to missions and change of assignments. This time however, she will not be sent far away but in the Province of Cavite at Molino, Bacoor to be the new superior of their Community and the much bigger St. Jerome Academy in the area.

It is imperative for Sis. Angie to be near Metro Manila because she was elected Vicar General of their Commissariat in the Philippines and therefore the second highest official of the Congregation in the country. She must be near the Mother Commissary for meetings and decisions together with the councillors.

The Fathers and Brothers are used to parting ways but the children are not. For sure they are emotionally hurting because of the departure of their beloved mother for years. However, the presence of the new sisters will compensate the loss.
LET US PRAY THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE SIS. ANGIE IN HER NEW ASSIGNMENT WHICH IS FOR SURE A DIFFICULT AND HEAVY TASK AND WE ALSO PRAY FOR SIS. JANE, HER SUCCESSOR, SO THAT SHE WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE THE GOOD WORKS LEFT BEHIND BY SIS. ANGIE AND DEVELOPED THE MISSIONS ALL THE MORE.
'I bid you goodbye' - Sis. Angie, MS
