Exchange with a Baptist - COMMUNICATING WITH ANGELS, SOLA SCRIPTURA AND CHRIST AS THE ONLY MEDIATOR

This afternoon, a good friend... a gracious lady member of the Defensores Fidei called my attention because a Baptist posted several comments in her Facebook account about Communicating with Angels. The man is not only questioning the faith but also offensively attacking it. I decided to respond. Here is the exchange:

its never about people's beliefs. if belief would be our basis for truth, then the authority is diverted to our faith instead of to God. God's Word says "there is only one mediator." but you said otherwise and conclude that its diversity of beliefs. there must be that authority and the only authority we have is the Scripture because it is God's ... Mr. C., you are contradicting yourself in your statements. You've said that "people are never valuable in God sight". THAT IS SATANIC. The Bible declares that the Good Shepherd loves His flock and offers HIs life for them, searching for them. Second, it directly negates Rom 5:8 that you quoted which states that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. So, even though we are sinners the LOVE of God for us is ever present. Thus, St. Paul declares: WHERE SIN ABOUNDS GRACE ABOUNDS ALL THE MORE [Rom 5:20]

Mr. C, Ms. CN never presented an angel who presented a diffent Gospel, that is why your presentation of Gal 1:8 is without foundation in reality. What other Gospel did Ms. Navarro present?

May I know where did you get the idea that Ms. Navarro didn't preach about Sin and the Death of Christ? IT IS NOWHERE IN HER POSTED TEXT ANYTHING THAT DENIES THE TRUTH OF SIN AND OF THE PASSION OF JESUS. Your reactions are out of touch with what actually posted.

You do not communicate with angels. Why do you communicate with another human being? Isn't that a violation of the ONE MEDIATORSHIP OF JESUS? Why do you communicate with your pastor and ministers? Isn't that a violation of the ONE MEDIATORSHIP OF JESUS?If we can communicate with humans there is nothing wrong with communicating with angels. Jesus said that they are watching over us. WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE BIBLE THE COMMAND PROHIBITING THE BELIEVERS TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANGELS? Where? Chapter and Verses please!

The Catholics also believe that Jesus is the only Mediator between God and Man. We believe and practice that. But, it is nowhere stated in that passage that: "Since Jesus is the only Mediator between God and Man, therefore don't communicate with every body else, particularly angels." That is absurd. Mr. Chua is imposing his own personally invented prohibition which is not stated in the Bible.

IT WAS MARTIN LUTHER WHO INVENTED IT.The Bible is God's word but it is not the ONE and ONLY authority. Because there is another authority ESTABLISHED BY JESUS TO BE THE GROUND AND PILLAR OF TRUTH: THE CHURCH [1 Timothy 3:15]. That is the reason why Protestants, particularly the Baptists, have separated and became schismatics with one another. They cannot find common ground in Sola Scriptura. The Lord Jesus built the Church to be the Pillar of Truth... It is the authority that can interpret the Scriptures correctly. THE BAPTIST BELIEF OF ME AND THE BIBLE ALONE IS UNBIBLICAL. Perhaps Mr. Chua can provide a Biblical passage to support that.

IF COMMUNICATING WITH ANGELS IS EVIL WHY DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH FACEBOOK? ISN'T JESUS THE ONLY MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN? WHY DO YOU NEED FACEBOOK TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS MR. C? WHY USE THE INTERNET? ISN'T THAT INSULTING JESUS THE ONLY MEDIATOR? HAVING JESUS AS THE ONLY MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN, DOESN'T PROHIBIT US TO COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH ALL THE LIVING CREATURES. CAN A HUMAN BEING COMMUNICATE WITH HIS DOG? YES OR NO, MR. CHUA? IF A MAN CAN COMMUNICATE WITH DOGS OR HORSES WHY NOT HIS GUARDIAN ANGEL?
