This morning I received this message from our Somascan Center in Rome. The Provincial Father of the Roman Province relayed this message to all Somascans all over the world: P. Please join us in praying for this servant of the Lord who is very dear to us Filipino Somascans because during the infancy period of our Somascan Life in the Philippines Fr. Moreno was the head of the Order. He supported our cause and visited the Philippines to make sure that the faith lived by St. Jerome Emiliani will take root deep into Philippine soil. Here is the message:

Dear confreres, of late, after the second surgery, Fr. Pierino Moreno's health got even worse. We request all the Communities to intensify their prayer to the Lord so that our former Superior General may be able to live these moments in faith and hope.
