Let us read again Acts 8:36-37

(Act 8:36) And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

(Act 8:37) And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Reading again this verse, it is really needed to have faith in order to get baptize, and in other to have faith we need to hear and receives the words of God now my question is, does a mere child have faith? If you ask him do you know the commandments of God? I am certainly sure that he only knows that it is bad to kill, to steal, the bad things that child normally knows

Now let us cite a verse containing a commandment of God which is unpopular to others

Let us read I Corithians 10:20

1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

In Tagalog it says

1Co 10:20 Subali't sinasabi ko, na ang mga bagay na inihahain ng mga Gentil, ay kanilang inihahain sa mga demonio, at hindi sa Dios: at di ko ibig na kayo'y mangagkaroon ng pakikipagkaisa sa mga demonio.

One of the commandments of God is not to eat the offerings of the Gentiles for their offerings are for the devils. Now let us go back, the question is CAN a mere CHILD DISTUINGUISHED who are Gentiles? Ho ho ho, I think not! Now if a child has faith and he receives the words/commandments of God, why does he don’t know how to DISTUINGUISHED the GENTILES, if he cannot DISTUINGUISHED the Gentiles, for sure, he may eat the offerings of the Gentiles for the devils, letting him be separated from God.

Now, if a child don’t know even a one commandment of God, how can he have faith right? As we all know that faith cometh from hearing the words of God. Back to the main topic. Can children receives baptism? The answer is NO! For he don’t know some commandment of God, and knowing the commandment of God is the start of having faith.

THE EUNUCH IS AN ADULT. THUS HE EXPRESSED HIS FAITH IN AN ADULT MANNER AND IN A WAY PROPER FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE CAPABLE OF SPEECH COMMUNICATION. BUT, WHO TOLD YOU THAT AN INFANT HAS NO FAITH? INFANT HAS FAITH!!! BECAUSE THEY CAN PRAISE GOD MUCH BETTER THAN YOU!!! IT CAN GIVE PERFECT PRAISE!!!

Matthew 21:16 "And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?"

If babies can praise God then they have faith. It is a faith that is visible to God but not to the senses of the human adults. But it is wrong to say that they don’t have faith.

HOW ABOUT YOU CAN YOU GIVE PERFECT PRAISE? IF YOU CANNOT GIVE PERFECT PRAISE THEN THE INFANT IS MORE DESERVING OF BAPTISM THAN YOU. HA, HA, HA...

ANOTHER POINT, IF THE CHILD IS INCAPABLE OF SPEAKING THE ONE WHO WILL SPEAK FOR HIM OR FOR HER IS THE PARENTS OR HIS GUARDIANS OR HIS RELATIVES:

Mathew 15:21-28 Jesus healed the Daughter of a Canaanite Woman because of the Mother’s Fatih:

Matthew 9:18-19, 23-25 Jesus brought the daughter back to life after her father, Jairus, pleaded with Him [Mk 5:21-43/ Lk 8:40-56]. [The Faith of the Father is efficacious for his daughter.]

HERE, JESUS DIDN’T ASK THE DAUGHTER OF JAIRUS: “Hey, Girl... do you want to live? No, answer... OK you will remain dead. I want to hear your faith.” HA, HA, HA... THE LORD JESUS AND THE APOSTLES ARE NOT ASKING THE SICK, THE CHILDREN AND THOSE INCAPABLE OF ADULT OR NORMAL CONVERSATION TO EXPRESS THEIR FAITH LIKE THE EUNUCH.

THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR POSITION IS THAT DUE TO THE FACT THAT BABIES AND INFANTS CANNOT EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN AN ADULT MANNER YOU ALREADY PRESUPPOSE THAT THEY DON’T HAVE FAITH. EXCUSE ME. IF BABIES AND INFANTS CANNOT SPEAK, THE ONE WHO WILL SPEAK FOR THEM ARE THEIR PARENTS AND GODPARENTS.

SO, EVEN THE FAITH OF OTHERS IS EFFICACIOUS FOR ANOTHER PERSON WHO IS INCAPABLE OF EXPRESSING HIMSELF. HERE JESUS BASED HIS DECISION TO PERFORM THE MIRACLE ON THE FAITH OF THE FRIENDS.

IF BABIES AND INFANTS CANNOT SPEAK, THE ONE WHO WILL SPEAK FOR THEM ARE THEIR PARENTS AND GODPARENTS.

WHERE DID BABY JEREMIAH AND BABY JOHN THE BAPTIST GOT THEIR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE.... FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE ONE WHO GIVES WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING [ISAIAH 11:2].
