REFUTING ANTI-CATHOLIC APOLOGIST JOHN JOSEPH RAS ON PREDESTINATION OF ST. AUGUSTINE, ST. THOMAS AQUINAS AND JOHN CALVIN, Part 1

St. Augustine in Glory

For a week I've been in intense exchange with an Anti-Catholic apologist named John Joseph Ras. I'm not sure if that is his real name or identity but other Catholic apologists informed me that this guy is the same evangelical apologist in Bereans Forum with the pseudo-name Living Grace [LG] and Jon Erenicus. We remember that last year at the height of our l'ffair Rodimus Jon Erenicus commented here and when we confronted he denied being the same person as Living Grace. He also repeatedly denied it to Kapatas in the same forum. But eventually it has been proven true.

Our previous post on Predestination and Calvinism was in response to Bro. Mark Joseph of Makati who requested that we explain the doctrine because his born again officemate is trying to convert him by claiming that St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas are Calvinistic in their theology of Predestination. After posting it in a few days this JJR appeared. He is more subtle in his approach than expected; too gentle in his speech. Yet, this is the same PINOY REFORMISTA BLOGGER who mentioned my name in his Blog attacking my person anonymously. I was not yet aware then whether he was an ADD, INC or Born Again. Several times he wanted to lure me into his blog but I refused to do so. He tried to promote his blog here.

By appearing in this Blog with a better identity now I know that I am dealing with a seasoned Anti-Catholic and one already pulverized by our younger apologists. He tried to hide like a snake and attack us at the back for months but now we confronted this Gorgon face to face ready for his deceptions and his lies. Indeed, that is what we've got.

I present to you this exchange to see for yourselves how our Catholic Faith can stand the rigour of scrutiny from Calvinist distortions. When his heresies are unearthed our opponent is resorting to every kind of tactics despite the fact that he is caught by the neck. This is a fitting tribute to a certified liar who was stabbing me at the back in guise of anonimity, mixing with the ADD defenders.

I praise THE GOOD LORD for His grace in keeping me through during this week-long exchange. It's been very gruelling for me because I have to read and re-read carefully several books of St. Augustine, the Summa of St. Thomas Aquinas and Calvin's Institutes of Christian Religion. I want to thank my beloved saints, the two patrons of my academic studies in the seminary for 12 years: ST. THOMAS AQUINAS and ST. AUGUSTINE, two great Doctors of the Roman Church for interceding for me against the heretics. VIVA EL CRISTO REY! VIVA LA SANTA IGLESIA CATOLICA!

Tutol ka po sa konsepto ng Predestinasyon ni John Calvin, pero sinitas mo naman sina San Agustin at Mang Tomas. Hindi niyo po ba alam na nagkakaisa ang tatlong yan sa kanilang paniniwala na ang paghirang ng Diyos ay batay lamang sa mabuting pasya ng Diyos?

Ang punto ko po, bakit po kayo double standard? Kasi tinututulan niyo yung Calvinistic view ng Predestination, eh parehas lang din naman ng Thomistic at Augustinian view?

Eh pare-parehas lang silang naniniwala sa Sovereign Election and Reprobation eh? So hindi lang po si Calvin ang tinututulan niyo kundi ang pati ang dalawang nabanggit na church fathers.
