St. Jerome Emiliani Feast 2010: Singing Contest Among Students

Last February 8, 2010 our school THE AEMILIANUM COLLEGE celebrated the feast of ST. JEROME EMILIANI our founder. I was not able to present here the numerous activities done in the school because the photo capacity of my blog has reached its limit then and it is only a few days ago that I was able to increase its photo storage.
Now that my Blog has enough photo storage once again I can post more about our various activities to complement the Apologetics presentations I've been giving. Not only that I can resume posting about sacred arts, filipino culture and our life in school.
I was not able to witness this singing contest because simultaneously I was in charge in the Conference Hall for the Bible Quiz Bee while this one was being done in the Auditorium. Fortunately, the AITV5 staff to whom I entrusted my camera made a few shots from the Auditorium and thus, gave us a short glimpse of the joy and the tensions therein.

The singing contest was only simple but the students who participated gave their hearts out not so much for the prizes which were very minimal and really insignificant but to honor the Saint whom we all love and respect. It was an afternoon of songs for a beloved father - St. Jerome Emiliani.

The event was well attended by students and teachers alike, one of whom was Sis. Cristina, MS our Somascan Sister who returned to Sorsogon after some years of missionary works in Srilanka. God bless our school and our students.
