Mourning in the Somascan Family

I still remember well this wonderful lady, Signora Iolanda, the brother of my two superiors Fr. Grato and Fr. Richard. During our Novitiate way back 1990 she visited the Philippines and stayed with us for about a week in Tagaytay. She was so kind and caring. I couldn't forget her smiling face and her curly round hair.

I inform all, also on behalf of my brothers Fr. Ernesto -of the community of the Maddalena, in Genova - and Fr. Grato -of the community of Ayala Alabang, Philippines - , that on Sunday morning 28th of February, our sister Iolanda returned to the house of the Father, at the age of 72, at the Molinette Hospital, Turin.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated in Turin (Italy), on Wednesday, March 3, at 10:00 [Local time], in the Parish Church Sta. Monica of via Vado.

We recommend her to the prayers of all our confreres and friends.
