National Artist Ben Cervantes Visited AITV5 as Guest in Campus Talk

On February 26, 2010 our school was honored to have as a guest the distingished National Artist and nationalist Ben Cervantes. He came to Sorsogon to promote culture and arts for the youth as well as to conduct art workshops together with fellow U.P. artists.

He appeared in Campus Talk hosted by Mr. Manny Ferrer the long time talk show of AITV5 together with his fellow artists and known personages in Sorsogon such as Ms. Escudero, the mother of Sen. Chiz Escudero and wife of our revered lawmaker Congressman Sony Escudero. Also one of the panelist is Msgr. Gerry del Prado, parish priest of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sorsogon City and one of the respected clergymen in the Province.

After the program I've got the chance to ask his autograph and he signed it in the first pages of the book I was carrying RIZAL THE FIRST FILIPINO by Leon Ma. Guerrero.
