The newly ordained Rev. Fr. Alvin Tuazon with his ordaining prelate His Excellency, The Most Rev. Paciano Aniceto, D.D. the Archbishop of San Fernando, Pampanga. With them are the members of the clergy who attended the Sacerdotal Ordination. This Sacerdotal Ordination of Fr. Aljim Tuazon took place in San Fernando, Pampanga on February 13, 2010. Unfortunately I was not able to attend this beautiful event because we just returned from Manila after a week of absence for attending the 2nd National Congress of Philippine Clergy by which I've met again Fr. Aljim, still a Deacon then.
Obviously Fr. Aljim is in the midst of the Tuazon clan. The facial semblance is too strong to be ignored.
But the Lord is kind and generous, Fr. David Reyes sent me several photos taken during the Ordination and at the same time Fr. Aljim himself posted in his Facebook account these very photos. I decided to share them to you so that you have a glimpse of what a priestly ordination is especially if you have not been in one.
This post is also important for me because the realization of Fr. Aljim's vocation is also a blessing for me his former mentor in Philosophy at St. Paul College Seminary in Silang, Cavite. It is an honor and an encouragement to praise the Lord for His great love is without end. He continuously give us shepherds according to His own heart.
Many of my students went out of the seminary and are now married but like Fr. David, Fr. Aljim, Fr. Randy, Fr. Michael, Fr. Dondon, Fr. Paul Anthony, Rev. Gerald and others the call of God has not been in vain. It became a fire that consumed their entire being and transformed them from being simply boys from their hometown into the Ministers of God and of the Church that they are now.
The newly ordained minister of the Church with his proud parents still teary eyed with happiness and gratitude to God.
This is also a reminder to me that I am no longer young. My students have turned into men and these men are shepherds and ministers like me. It is therefore a challenge for me to show them better examples in being a dedicated, faithful and hardworking pastor of the flock. As they have inspired me by their success may I be for them a model of a true Proclaimer of the Gospel and of the Splendor of the Church.
For sure these are the seminarians who served as Acolytes during the Ordination... some could have served as choir.
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU FR. ALJIM. MAY HE POURED FORTH REPEATEDLY HIS HOLY SPIRIT UPON YOU SO THAT YOU MAY GROW IN VIRTUES ALL THE MORE AND REMAIN FAITHFUL FOREVER. MAY THE LORD MAKE YOUR PASTORAL MINISTRY FERTILE WITH HEAVENLY GRACES! AMEN.
Fr. Aljim with friends... the guy on the right is his former classmate in St. Paul Seminary, Paul Remo. A very bright student in my class.
Four starting from the left, standing are my former students: Paul Remo, Rev. Gerald Mendoza, Fr. David Reyes of Los Banos, Laguna and Fr. Aljim. The rest are priests whose name I unfortunately have forgotten. But I am sure that they are priests because I have encountered them before on various occasions but we haven't got the chance to talk.
O Good Lord, my beloved former students. Now I'm so proud: Paul Remo, Rev. Gerald Mendoza, Fr. Aljim and Fr. David Reyes.
Archbishop Paciano Aniceto imposes his blessed hands on the head of the Deacon during the Ordination.
Fr. David Reyes praying and imposing his hand on his dear classmate and good friend Fr. Aljim. How wonderful to behold these young Men of God.
The newly ordained being invested with Priestly garments sign of the dignity and nobility of Priesthood as well as the Cross that he has to carry as a Servant of Christ.
The Archbishop giving a heartfelt fraternal embrace to his son, the newly ordained. This is so touching because Arch. Paciano is known for his holiness and simplicity of life.
Fr. Aljim paying his respect to his parents, expressing love and gratitude for giving him life and nourishment and most of all for their generosity of offering him to God to become Minister of the Church.
The newly ordained - dignied, noble and handsome to behold like the young David before Samuel the Prophet, now before the Altar of God as a newly ordained priest. For the first time he recites the Canon of the Mass through which the Bread and the Wine becomes the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus when prayed and perfomed by an ordained priest of the Catholic Church.

Thank you very much Bro. Jayson. May your prayers be efficacious for Fr. Aljim. He is a very good boy and for sure he will be as good a priest or much better.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you again.
I know father Aljim, nagmass siya sa chapel namin nung simbang gabi.. first time daw nya na magcelebrate ng simbang gabi at sa amin pa..
ReplyDeleteGod Bless him...
ReplyDeleteANG CENTER STOLE AY MAY NORMAL STOLE NA NAKALAGAY SA ILALIM. HE HE HE...
ReplyDeleteYES, VALID PA RIN ANG MISA.
YUNG PARI NG SHALOM E DINISIPLINA NA IYON NG KANYANG PROVINCIAL SUPERIOR. KAYA NGA HINDI NA NAKIKITA SA TV.
