ST. JEROME EMILIANI BIBLE QUIZ BEE 2010 SPONSORED BY THE SPLENDOR OF THE CHURCH, Part 2

The St. Jerome Emiliani Bible Quiz 2010 Champions - The High School Department of the College of the Holy Spirit in Irosin, Sorsogon.

For the past 25 years the St. Jerome Bible Quiz Bee is always being held during the Feast of our Founder [February 8]. This time it is once again held in Aemilianum College, still vibrant after passing from the leadership of Bro. Eugene Libut to Fr. Bobby Sabayton then to Fr. Abe Arganiosa.

The Quiz Bee has become part of the history of our Aemilianum High School Department and of other High Schools in the area. It has become a great opportunity for the students to deepen their knowledge of the Sacred Scriptures and of course of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Since our school is serving as a host of the event our school participants joined the contest not to compete with other schools but to compete among themselves. This is done to avoid any question of being biased in favor of our students in case that they received the highest points in the competition.

This year's winners came from the College of the Holy Spirit who bested in a thrilling climax the team from St. Louise de Marillac College High School department who was the previous champion. We expect a better and more climactic competetion next year among the two Catholic schools.

The 8 others, all from public schools did well. It so happened that they are less consistent with their answers. We also hope that they will perform better next year.

May the Lord bless these students, fill them with His Holy Spirit and let them grow in Wisdom, Knowledge and in Christian Virtues. Amen.
