Visiting ou Beloved Former Parish Priest in his New Assignment

Last December 30, 2009 during my Christmas vacation I visited our former Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Virgilio 'Verge' Ramos who was transferred to the Parish of the Holy Spirit in Malolos, Bulacan.
Fr. Verge was our Parish Priest from the year 2001 until 2009 and since then has become a close friend not only of myself but also of my entire family. We also accepted his family as our own. We shared a lot of joys and funs together. But, through all these he requested to be transferred to be near his mother who is now in her 90's.
The Bishop of Malolos, The Most Rev. Jose Oliveros, acceded to his request but it is still painful for the people of Sto. Rosario Parish to let go of this pastor who have revolutionized our place. He renovated and beautified our Church, the rectory and the surroundings of the parish despite the fact that our place is that of the poor he was able to improve it beyond our expectations.
Also, he brought out from financial ruin the parish owned Sto. Rosario College, settled all its financial obligations, reformed its organizations and gave it healthy and stable income.
Our people remember with love the hardworks and the hardships of Fr. Verge and he will go down in the annals of our parish as the master-builder among the pastors who governed us. We pray to the Lord that he will continuously be blessed in his new assignment and shall be given pastoral success there also.

    Salamat po at na post nyo na si Fr. Verge at ang kanyangbagong parokya.
    Nakakatuwang malaman na ok siya at maganda din ang kanyang bagong parish but mas nakakalungkot na nawala na siya sa parokya natin pero alam ko na kahit marami siyang dinanas na hirap at sama ng loob sa parokya nati mahal nya tayo, kaya idinadalangin ko sa Poong Maykapal at kay Mama Mary na patuloy siyang pagpalain at gabayan, at pati na rin ang kanyang buong pamilya, sina Dolly, Mareng Jenny, kaniyang mga kapatid at higit sa lahat ang minamahal nating si Inang, naway palakasin at patuloy na pahabain pa ang kanyang buhay.
    Fr. Verge, kahit nalayo kayo sa amin physically asahan nyo na mananatili kayo sa aming mga puso at alaala. Maraming salamat po at mahal namin kayo.

  3. Dear Fr.Abe,

    I'm one with you in praying for Fr.Verge. Have known him for only 10 months now since he was transferred to the Parish of the Holy Spirit. He's one of the very good priests I know. We chose him to be our Spiritual Adviser for our Lay Deliverance Team after he helped in some successful cases of liberation from evil infestation.

    I'm glad to have seen this blogspot with various teachings. This is exactly what our team wants to have for every Catholic to know more about the Faith and be able to defend it. I'm also glad of the post about Holloween bec. it reinforces our post "Maka-Kristyano ba ang Halloween?" which even my fellow church workers laugh at, saying "Halloween is just for fun" - this is definitely not the way we look at things in the Ministry of Deliverance.

    I hope to discuss more with you in the future. I'm happy to know you have also been exposed to the teachings of Fr.Bing (Edgardo Arellano) on Deliverance and Exorcism. We really need priests who believes in the ministry.

    Praise the Lord for being acquianted with you. And praise Him all the more for the wonderful things He has done through Fr. Verge, my beloved brother in Christ.

    Brod, I was also trained by the group of Fr. Bing on deliverance ministry. I attended their Deliverance Ministry Conference in Cebu last year wherein we were taught how to help our people be freed from demonic infestations.

    Concerning Apologetics, I am a member of Defensores Fidei Foundation a group dedicated in defending the Catholic Faith. If you want I can give talks to your group on Apologetics and the Biblical Foundation of our Faith such as about Mary, Praying for the Dead, Purgatory, etc. About things usually asked by non-Catholics about our faith.

  5. Good day Fr.Abe. Have informed Fr.Verge about this blogspot and about your post and pics with him. He's so happy but he doesn't have internet access in the parish as of the moment.

    Please include in your prayers the Quimpo Family of Balagtas, Bulacan. We've been in their place for deliverance. Case: Local Infestation brought about by the surroundings and suspected nature entities. Possible to become violent in the future. Have suggested the entire family to go to confession, continue hearing Masses and pray the rosary. We will visit them again soon but no schedule yet. We chose Fr.Verge to become our spiritual adviser for Knights of Saint Benedict - A Catholic Lay Deliverance Team.

    Please be sure that I am with you in prayer for the sake of that family. May St. Benedict and St. Michael grant them liberation from the malignant spirits of this world.

    Hope I can visit Fr. Verge before the end of this Summer.

    Tomorrow, June 16 is 20th Sacerdotal Anniversary of Fr.Vergs. There will be Mass at 6PM. He's now in Cebu with the bishop but will be arriving in Bulacan anytime this afternoon. In case you dont have his number, here it is 09276909240.
