AITV5 - The Press Conference of Liberal Party Senatorial Candidates in Sorsogon City

On May 6, 2010 Three days before the May 10 Election four senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party chose our AITV5 Station for their Live Press Conference. The three senatoriables are: Congressman Neric Acosta, Mrs. Sonia Roco - the wife of the late Sen. Raul Roco and Dr. Martin Bautista. In the panel there is also the representative of their fellow candidate Alex Lacson.

The LP Candidates came on the same day that Sen. Noynoy Aquino and Sen. Mar Roxas were in Sorsogon City. But the two Senators preferred to speak on Radio stations while the Senatoriables went to AITV5. So after covering the motorcade of Noynoy and Mar we immediately arranged for this Press Con.

Thanks be to God my staff were able to arrange things in just an hour so that when the visitors arrived everything was prepared. Our brethren in the local media also came to cover the event and were made comfortable in our station. The Mayor of Sorsogon City himself, Leovic Dioneda, organized the event and was present personally.

After the Press Con the LP candidates were able to stay some minutes more to chat with us and were expressing their appriciation for our local TV. They were surprised to know that we are merely an educational station. Then when they were told that I am a priest Dr. Martin and Mrs. Roco asked for my blessing.
