The ACI College of Law professors: Judge Dimaano the new acting Dean, Atty. Enrique Renoria, former Dean, Judge Rofebar Gerona and the late Atty. Basares if I'm not mistaken.
There are so many things that had happened in the College of Law but I was not able to report them all and report on time about the department for the sake of our alumni due to the much amount of time required by my Apologetic Apostolate which comprises about 80 percent of this Blog.
Our new Bar Passers last April 2010 from the Bar Examinations of 2009: Atty. Adrian Alegre and Atty. Marlon Cañares during the Special TV Interview courtesy of AITV5.
Last September 2009 I was requested by the College of Law students to celebrate the Holy Mass for our Bar Examiners who are housed near the Department of Agrarian Reform in Commonwealth just in front of the Quezon Memorial Circle. I agreed of course and Fr. Superior sent me to do just that in order to be with them in prayers and to show support on behalf of the school administration.
Prof. Elmer Valenzuela interviews the new lawyers with Atty. Arcos, ACI College of Law alumnus, showing his support.
The examiners were prayerful and serious in their emotions. They reflect sense of excitement and at the same time manifest the great burden that the Examinations present. Their school mates of lower years were in full force to show their love and support and it was so touching to see them united as one.
Two other professors arrived to join the celebration, one is Atty. Renoria.
Of course, now we already know the result. Two out of about 15 who took the exams passed which is very high for us by percentage point. Once again our College of Law proved to the world that it belongs to the high quality school of the country because in 5 years never experience having zero passers on this Exam, the most difficult in the country. Much more we are doing it while many big Colleges and Universities in other parts of the Philippines not having received even a single passer.
Mr. Manny Ferrer interviews the head of Commission on Election in Sorsogon City, Atty. Ryan Filgueras who is also an ACI College of Law alumnus.
As the election period entered into fever pitch we have found out that one of the head of the Commission of Election is Atty. Ryan Filgueras, our alumnus also. Indeed our graduates are becoming the best of the best in Sorsogon City and Province. They are becoming the lifeblood of Sorsogon legal practices. And more to come from our graduates.
Finally, after our Graduation last March 2010 our first ever Dean of ACI Law School, Atty. Rofebar Gerona rendered his resignation because he has been appointed Judge. After long period of prayer and search the school officials had chosen the most senior of our Law professors, Judge Dimaano to serve as acting Dean.
Congressman Sonny Escudero, the much beloved veteran lawmaker of Sorsogon treated our Bar Examinees and their schoolmates at Mang Inasal in Quezon City. Congressman Sonny and his son, Sen. Chiz Escudero are two of the most active patrons of ACI College of Law.
We bid goodbye to Judge Gerona. We express our gratitude for the job well done in leading our School into success after success. At the same time, we welcome Dean Dimaano as the new head of ACI Law School. May St. Jerome guide you to lead the School into greener pasture. God bless.
