fr. abe, kasi po yung ate ko, binasahan daw po ng isang bible verse nakalimutan na daw po niya ung exact verse basta daw po, yung naalala niya, bawal daw po kumain ng kahit anong pagkain na may dugo, nakalagay daw dun na itapon or ibuhos ang dugo sa lupa na parang tubig. Saan po ba ito makikita sa bible? ano po ba ang ibig-sabihin nito?

Obvious na ang nagbasa nyan ay isang Iglesia ni Manalo. Ang talatang iyong tinuran ay galing dito:
Levitico 17:13 At sinomang tao sa mga anak ni Israel, o sa mga taga ibang bayan na nakikipamayan sa kanila na manghuli ng hayop o ng ibon na makakain; ay ibubuhos niya ang dugo niyaon at tatabunan ng lupa.
Deuteromio 12:16 Huwag lamang ninyong kakanin ang dugo; iyong ibubuhos sa lupa na parang tubig.
Nakakatawa kasi wala pa akong nakitang Iglesia na nagtatapon ng dugo at tinatabunan ng lupa. Utos na iyan ay ibinigay sa mga Israelita nung sila ay napapaligiran ng mga bansang sumasamba sa mga dios diosan kung saan bahagi ng pagsamba ng mga paganong ito ang pag-inom ng dugo ng mga hayup. Ang batas na iyan ay bahagi ng Mosaic Law na pinawalang bisa na ngayon ng ating Panginoong Jesu-Cristo.
Actually, hindi lang dugo ang pinagbabawal nuon meron pang isang bawal na kinakain ng mga INC:
Levitico 3:17 Magiging palatuntunang palagi sa buong panahon ng inyong lahi, sa lahat ng inyong tahanan na hindi kayo kakain ng TABA ni DUGO man.
Bakit ang mga INC ay kumakain ng Taba, subalit ayaw pa ring kumain ng dugo?
Ang issue ng pagkain ay nilinis na nang ating Panginoong Jesu-Cristo. Pinayagan na tayong kainin ang lahat ng uri ng pagkain dahil dineklara na itong malinis at hindi nakapagpapadumi sa tao:
Mateo 15:11 Hindi ang pumapasok sa bibig ang siyang nakakahawa sa tao; kundi ang lumalabas sa bibig, ito ang nakakahawa sa tao.
Marco 7:18-23 At sinabi niya sa kanila, Kayo baga naman ay wala ring pagiisip? Hindi pa baga ninyo nalalaman, na anomang nasa labas na pumapasok sa tao, ay hindi nakakahawa sa kaniya; Sapagka't hindi pumapasok sa kaniyang puso, kundi sa kaniyang tiyan, at lumalabas sa dakong daanan ng dumi? Sa salitang ito'y nililinis niya ang lahat ng pagkain. At sinabi niya, Ang lumalabas sa tao, yaon ang nakakahawa sa tao. Sapagka't mula sa loob, mula sa puso ng mga tao, lumalabas ang masasamang pagiisip, ang mga pakikiapid, ang mga pagnanakaw, ang mga pagpatay sa kapuwa-tao, ang mga pangangalunya, Ang mga kasakiman, ang mga kasamaan, ang pagdaraya, ang kalibugan, ang matang masama, ang kapusungan, ang kapalaluan, ang kamangmangan: Ang lahat ng masasamang bagay na ito ay sa loob nagsisipanggaling, at nangakakahawa sa tao.
Ang pagpapawalang bisa ng kautusang iyan ay mas lalong nilinaw ng special revelation of God kay St. Peter:
Gawa 10:9-15 Nang kinabukasan nga samantalang sila'y patuloy sa kanilang paglalakad, at nang malapit na sa bayan, si Pedro ay umakyat sa ibabaw ng bahay upang manalangin, nang may oras na ikaanim; At siya'y nagutom at nagnais kumain: datapuwa't samantalang nangaghahanda sila, ay nawalan siya ng diwa; At nakita niyang bukas ang langit, at may isang sisidlang bumababa, gaya ng isang malapad na kumot, na nakabitin sa apat na panulok na bumababa sa lupa: Na doo'y naroroon ang lahat ng uri ng mga hayop na may apat na paa at ang mga nagsisigapang sa lupa at ang mga ibon sa langit. Makikita natin sa talatang ito na tahasang sinabi ng Dios kay San Pedro na ang mga pagkaing dati ay bawal ay nilinis na ng Dios. Inutusan pa siyang kumain. Kaya ang literal na kahulugan ng mga talatang iyan ay ang pagpapahintulot ng dati'y mga bawal na pagkain. At ang spiritual meaning naman ay ang pagtanggap sa mga pagans into communion with Christ sa pamamagitan ng bautismo. Kaya nga bininyagan ni San Pedro si Cornelio.
Tayo ay hindi mga Judio, tayo ay mga Cristianong Hentil. Hindi tayo sakop ng batas ni Moises na ang siyang sumusunog ng tapat ay ang mga Pariseo. Kaya ang batas ng Iglesia ni Manalo ay akma sa mga Pariseo.
Ang desisyon nin San Pedro ay ipinagpatuloy ni San Pablo at mas higit pa niyang pinaliwanag:
Roma 14:1-3 Datapuwa't ang mahina sa pananampalataya ay tanggapin ninyo, hindi upang pagtalunan ang kaniyang pagaalinlangan. May tao na may pananampalataya na makakain ang lahat ng mga bagay: nguni't ang mahina'y kumakain ng mga gulay. Ang kumakain ay huwag magwalang halaga sa hindi kumakain; at ang hindi kumakain ay huwag humatol sa kumakain: sapagka't siya'y tinanggap ng Dios.
Ayan. Kung ayaw ng mga INC kumain ng may dugo e di huwag. Subalit wala silang karapatan na pulaan at salungatin tayo sa ating pagkain. Sapagkat ang kinakain natin ay NILINIS NA NG DIOS. Humuhusga sila sa ating ng walang bait sa kanilang sarili:
Roma 14:20-23 Huwag mong sirain ang gawa ng Dios dahil sa pagkain. Tunay na ang lahat ng mga bagay ay malilinis; gayon man ay masama sa tao ang kumakain ng laban sa kaniyang budhi. Mabuti ang huwag kumain ng lamangkati, ni uminom ng alak, ni gumawa ng anoman na katitisuran ng iyong kapatid. Ang pananampalataya mo na nasa iyo ay ingatan mo sa iyong sarili sa harap ng Dios. Mapalad ang hindi humahatol sa kaniyang sarili sa bagay na kaniyang sinasangayunan. Nguni't ang nagaalinlangan ay hinahatulan kung kumakain, sapagka't hindi siya kumakain sa pananampalataya; at ang anomang hindi sa pananampalataya ay kasalanan.
Yan ang problema ng INC gusto nilang ipatupad sa atin ang kanilang mga mala-Pariseong mga batas. Malaya na tayo mula sa batas ng pagkain sapagkat ang lahat ay nilinis na ng Dios.
1 Corinto 10:25 Lahat ng ipinagbibili sa pamilihan ay kanin ninyo, at huwag kayong magsipagtanong ng anoman dahilan sa budhi; Sapagka't ang lupa ay sa Panginoon, at ang kabuuan ng naririto. Kung kayo'y aanyayahan ng isang hindi sumasampalataya, at ibig ninyong pumaroon; ang anomang ihain sa inyo ay kanin ninyo, at huwag kayong magsipagtanong ng anoman dahilan sa budhi.
Kitam DAPAT KAININ ANG LAHAT NG NABIBILI SA PALENGKE at ang lahat ng biyaya ng daigdig dahil ang earth ay galing sa Dios: GOD CREATED EVERYTHING AS GOOD. Kahit na nga iba pa ang pananampalataya ng nagpapakain ay pwede nang kainin anuman ang ihain. Ang mga INC ay bastos kasi kahit na Dinuguan ang ulam at nakahain ayaw kainin. Makitid ang isip at hindi nakikinig kay Cristo, kay Pedro at kay Pablo.
Lagi nating tatandaan na ang bawat nilalang ng Dios ay mabuti:
Genesis 1:31 At nakita ng Dios ANG LAHAT ng kaniyang nilikha, at, narito, napakabuti.
Kitam LAHAT daw ng nilikha ay MABUTI. Ang mga INC lang ang nagmamasama sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatupad ng MOSAIC LAW [BATAS NI MOISES] na paborito ng mga Pariseo sapagkat MALUPIT at HINDI MAKATAO.
Ang mahalaga ang pagkain ay dapat ialay sa Panginoon, ipagpasalamat at dalanginan:
1 Timoteo 4:4-5 Sapagka't ang bawa't nilalang ng Dios ay mabuti, at walang anomang nararapat na itakuwil, kung tinatanggap na may pagpapasalamat: Sapagka't pinakababanal sa pamamagitan ng salita ng Dios at ng pananalangin.
Imbes na mamuhay bilang Malayang Cristiano ay pinapahirapan ang mga tao sa maraming bawal:
Colosas 2:20-23 Kung kayo'y nangamatay na kalakip ni Cristo mula sa mga pasimulang aral ng sanglibutan, bakit, na waring kayo'y nangabubuhay pa sa sanglibutan, kayo'y nangapasasakop sa mga palatuntunan, Gaya ng: Huwag dumampot, ni huwag lumasap, ni huwag humipo; (Ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito ay mangasisira sa paggamit), ayon sa mga utos at mga aral ng mga tao? Ang mga bagay na iya'y katotohanang mayroong anyo ng karunungan sa pagsambang kusa, at sa pagpapakababa, at sa pagpapakahirap sa katawan; nguni't walang anomang kabuluhan laban sa ikalalayaw ng laman.
Yang mga batas na bawal lumasap o bawal kumain ay UTOS LAMANG NG TAO. Kaya nga batas ni Moises ang tawag. Kung ito man ay pinag-utos ng Dios ang Dios din ang nagpabago sa pamamagitan ng Panginoong Jesu-Cristo at nina Apostol Pedro at Pablo at siempre ng Biblia.
Kaya dapat nating kainin ang lahat ng pagkain: DINUGUAN, BOPIS o Half-Cooked Steaks. He, he, he... Lagi nating isaisip ang sinasabi ng Banal na Kasulatan:
Roma 14:3 [Magandang Balita] "Huwag hahamakin ng kumakain ng KAHIT ANO ang kumakain lamang ng gulay, at huwag namang hatulan ng kumakain lamang ng gulay ang kumakain ng KAHIT ANO, sapagkat siya'y TINANGGAP NG DIOS."

Fr. Abe another question lang po. Palagi pong opposition ng mga Born-Again na kailanmay hindi daw itinuturo o na-mention ng New Testament ang ministerial priesthood gaya ng sa ating Katoliko kundi priesthood of all believers na daw po. Ano pong sagot natin dito?

First, dapat mong malaman na ang Priesthood ay tinalaga ng Dios nuon pa man bilang PANGMAGPAKAILANMAN:

ReplyDeleteRegarding po eating dinuguan, I myself opt not to. I believe so that I still am entrenched in my former religion's (ADD) proselytisings on food and drink, but Catholic theology and dogma does not prescribe which to eat or not. On my end, what to take into one's body is up to a person's conscientious upholding of health inasmuch as he has free will to choose in certain circumstances especially if this does not in any way affect faith or morals.
Well, Fr. Abe, this is only a personal assertion. I still shy away from dinuguan not because the Catholic faith dares convince me against partaking it but because I just don't find it palatable. Hehe.

Ha, ha, ha... there is nothing wrong with refusing to eat Dinuguan Ate Shirly. Its an excercise of our Free Will. He, he, he... Some prefer to be vegetarian, some prefer to eat meat. Some want their food half-cooked, others fully cooked. Others enjoys meat while other prefers fish.
These decisions is based on practical and personal prerogatives of the persons and not based on any doctrinal prohibitions as given in the Old Testament.

ReplyDeleteExactly! Thus any so-called 'biblical prohibition' against eating 'dinuguan' should be utterly banal. The kosher laws as indicated in the Old Testament do not apply to us since they were, in context, handed to the Israelites as precautionary measures since they would be living in a land replete with idolatry's profanities. The Good Lord desires so much that they preserve themselves from a culture so intertwined with pagan traditions that it had not been that easy to tell whether such customs are merely for convenience in accordance to weather or geography or to serve false notions about a deity's existence.
Thank you po Fr. Abe. I hope you'd visit Manila again soon (and perhaps celebrate a Pontifical Missa Cantata with Fr. Zerrudo at PLDM one Sunday. Hehehe)

THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH DIDN'T SAY THAT PETER IS THE HEAD OF THE APOSTLES BUT SIMPLLY "The first of the Twelve" AND FOR WHAT REASON? BECAUSE JESUS THE LORD 'THE CORNER STONE' OF THE CHURCH GAVE SPECIAL MISSION ON PETER.
IT IS THEREFORE SATANIC FOR YOU TO CLAIM THAT OUR CCC CONSIDER PETER AS HIGHER THAN JESUS FOR BEING 'THE HEAD' OF THE APOSTLES.
THEN THE SECOND NUMBER THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN [CCC#768] HAS NO MENTION OF PETER AT ALL:

HOWEVER, IT IS NOWHERE STATED BY ST. PAUL IN 1 TIM. 3:16-17 THE DOCTRINE OF 'BIBLE ALONE'. HE DIDN'T SAY: "ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED AND THEREFORE FOLLOW THE SCRIPTURE ALONE." HA, HA, HA... NO, NO, NO... ST. PAUL DIDN'T SAY THAT, DIDN'T WRITE THAT AND DIDN'T TEACH THAT.
SO, IF YOU WANT TO DEMONICALLY REMAIN IN LUTHER'S INVENTED DOGMA: "BIBLE ALONE" WHICH IS A TRADITION OF MEN SO BE IT. BUT DON'T BLAME US IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT WHEN GOD WILL PUNISH YOU FOR UPHOLDING A TRADITION OF LUTHER.

Eh pati nga ang Dios ay parang linilimitahan nila hanggang sa biblia lamang... Bakit parang tinanggalan nila ang Dios ng freewill at linimitahan ng mga protestanteng ito ang kapangyarihan ng dios ayon sa mababasa lang sa biblia? Father Abe, tanong ko lang, sana mapatawad ako ng Dios natin at ng mahal na birhen sa katanungan kong ito. Kung ang Iglesia Catolica ay tunay na religion, bakit kinasusuklaman sya halos lahat ng mga christian at non christian religions? Kung si Sta Maria ay tunay na pinagpala sa babaeng lahat ay bakit kinasusuklaman sya halos lahat ng mga protestante? Bakit kailangan nilang kasuklaman sya ng todo2x? Bakit maraming galit sa kanya?
