I join Rev. Fr. Abraham P. Arganiosa, CRS in felicitating the Catholic Faith Defenders of Davao in their 33rd anniversary.

Truly, 33 is a number replete with Biblical significance. The Lord Jesus completed His earthly life at 33. The CFD is just beginning a new chapter in its history.

Your special day is a moment where you can take stock of the things you have already accomplished. It is also the time when you can thinks of the things that are yet to be done. It is an opportunity to once again chart the course which CFD has to take for the next 33 years. For truly, as St. Francis of Assissi said, "Let us go, for we have done so little."

Truly, whatever contribution we have in the building up of the Body of Christ that is the Church is truly little by world's standards. Our funding is kept to the barest minimum, we don't have publications to boast and we no longer have radio programs to maintain. But, despite all these deprivations, let us ask ourselves: Why are we here still? What makes us go on? The answer is, the GRACE OF GOD. Our littleness has been amply supplied by the abiding grace of Him who cannot be outdone in generosity.

The little things that we do, the little time that we share, the little treasure that we spare - in the eyes of eternity, this little is MUCH, because they have been given with so much love. They have been offered with so much faith. And they have been sacrificed with the hope that they please the Lord we serve.

On the occasion of your 33rd anniversary, I personally, who consider myself an honorary CFD member as I recall my fondest memories of you, extend my warmest congratulations to all of you. Likewise on behalf of Defensores Fidei Foundation, I also wish you all God's blessings for the coming years of toil in the vineyard of the Lord.

I press each and everyone one of you in the loving and maternal heart of our Immaculate Mother.
