DEBUNKING THE CLAIM THAT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WAS FOUNDED IN THE EARLY YEARS OF 300AD

The Conversion of Constantine. He saw the vision of the Holy Cross with inscription: IN HOC SIGNO VINCES [By this Sign Thou Shalt Conquer]. The Commander ordered that the Sign of the Cross be put on the shields and breastplates of each soldiers. And indeed they were victorious and Constantine became the Emperor who legalized Christianity and put to end centuries of Christian persecutions.

Mister Priest Abe

I am following your sagutan with anonymous with curiosity and I admit that kagulat gulat ang mga salita mo sa pagsagot sa kanya. maraming mga salita na malapit lapit sa salitang kanto that a man like you who claim to be servant of the Lord must not come out from your mouth. in the letter of Jude you will read that even archangel Michael when he was desputing about the body of Moses with the Devil hindi siya gumamit ng slanderous words kundi sabi niya sawayin ka nawa ng Lord.Isa pa may kasbihan sa Tagalog na ang pumapatol sa ulol ay kabila pa ng ulol. Papaano if this anonymous is just trying to provoke you at sagot ka naman ng sagot sa hindi magagandang salita, it just showing your personality and who really you are. Sabagay magsalita ka man ng mga pangit na salita OK lang yang because you are a priest of the Roman catholic church. Kasi hindi ka naman church of God. Your claim that your church is founded by Christ and apostle Peter way out of truth, for nowhere in the bible nor in the history that Peter held the leadership of the roman church. Sa Acts of the apostles in the last part it is Paul who preach the gospel to the believers in Rome. In the second chapter of Paul's letter to the Galatians, Paul clearly stated that he is the apostle to the Gentilae=s and as Peter is the apostle to the Jews together with John and other apostles. Clearly he stated that Peter is preaching to the Jews not to the Gentiles. Paul'companion in preaching is mostly Barnabas and some help from Timothy and Titus.

In the history the Roman Catholic church was founded in the time of Emperor Constantine on the early years of 300 AD. Read all the whole new testament it does'nt say that RCC is in there. The last apostle died is John and wrote the last book of the bible, there's no mention of roman church about the prophecy of the seven churches.

If we read the NT and look closely at the way the christians worship and beliefs is is almost opposite as what the catholics are doing. No need to list all of them, kukulangin ako ng oras. So Abe,being so quick na magparatang sa iba ng sinner, heretics, devil, evil, tanga gago at iba pa, look at your self, dahil sinasabi ng Bible na suriin muna natin ang ating sarili bago makisama sa pagkain at paginom ng laman at dugo ni KRISTO.

gANON PA MAN SUMAIYO NAWA ANG AWA NG ATING lORD.

Mr. Unknown Heretic,

[I am following your sagutan with anonymous with curiosity and I admit that kagulat gulat ang mga salita mo sa pagsagot sa kanya. maraming mga salita na malapit lapit sa salitang kanto that a man like you who claim to be servant of the Lord must not come out from your mouth.]

Oh, now you're having a 'holier than thou' attitude e. But these people who are coming here to attack our faith through the gutter are your own kind. You have the same mind, the same reasoning, the same goals and the same mentalities.

You are speaking of Kanto. It is your own kind that attack us from the gutter spewing mud and what they are doing are fine with you eh. Well, if you want a clean fight attack us from the lobby of Manila Hotel and not from the gutter. If your kind are attacking from the gutter they must expect dirt to be showered on them.

[in the letter of Jude you will read that even archangel Michael when he was desputing about the body of Moses with the Devil hindi siya gumamit ng slanderous words kundi sabi niya sawayin ka nawa ng Lord.]

It is not the duty of an Archangel to dispute it belongs to men. When the Lord Jesus incarnated He called those who opposed the truth that He proclaims: "Brood of vipers". Anti-Catholics are brood of vipers. They are anonymous, in hiding and attacking from behind. Like you.

[Papaano if this anonymous is just trying to provoke you at sagot ka naman ng sagot sa hindi magagandang salita,]

Are you asking me? Are you really that concerned with that? My responses are merely HARD HITTING.

[it just showing your personality and who really you are.]

It shows that I do not tolerate Anti-Catholic polemics in this Blog and I answer fire with fire. You should be more concerned of what you are rather than on what I am.

[Ang problema mo pa pag binabatikos ang catholic hindi mo matiyak kung sino ang sasagutin mo. So ang titirahin mo kung hindi ang iglesia ni manalo, o kaya ay sabadista, born again o kaya ay si soriano.]

Well, if that is my problem that is none of your business. I never asked your opinion for my problems. In actuality I do not consider it a problem. Who told you that that is my problem? I simply put them to test if that guy belongs to any of the group.

Anyway that is the problem with your likes. You are so united in attacking the Catholic Church yet you are cowardly to reveal your own religion and your own doctrines. You just enjoy questioning and attacking but you don't want to be questioned and attack. When you throw fires you enjoy it but once they are thrown back at you then you complain like babies... you demand that we behave like priests, like Christians while you are attacking us like jackals.

Our practices are Biblical. I remember the last time you sent a message it was about Christmas. You claimed that our celebration was pagan and unbiblical. Ha, ha, ha... After you've been refuted you disappeared like Dracula and now you have risen from your coffin again.

[That means you accepted ang paratang niya and simply answer na pareho lang kayo na gumagawa at naniniwala sa mga turo na walang batayan sa bible.]

Be specific and tell me the things that we are doing that is not biblical and let me know your religion so that I can also check if what you are doing is Biblical.

[Sabagay magsalita ka man ng mga pangit na salita OK lang yang because you are a priest of the Roman catholic church. Kasi hindi ka naman church of God.]

At ikaw church of God? Anong Church of God? Kay Mama Eli Soriano? O ibang grupo. Saan ko ba makikita ang tunay na church of God?

[Your claim that your church is founded by Christ and apostle Peter way out of truth,]

O really? Ha, ha, ha... I am really eager to know what and where is your church of God to see if that is the one founed by Christ and apostle Peter. Ha, ha, ha...

[for nowhere in the bible nor in the history that Peter held the leadership of the roman church.]

Definitely the Petrine Leadership of the Roman Church is well-attested by history. And the Bible speaks of Peter as the one entrusted with the Keys of the Kingdom. He was the leader of the Church after the Lord ascended.

[Sa Acts of the apostles in the last part it is Paul who preach the gospel to the believers in Rome.]

Correct. The First Part belongs to the leadership of Peter and the Second Part sa preaching ministry of Paul. It shows only that the authority of Peter is prior than that of Paul and therefore higher. That is not against our position. It supports our position. Because the teaching of the Catholic Church is that the Roman Church is founded by STS. PETER AND PAUL. That is why they are the co-patrons of the Church of Rome. But, the first Bishop of Rome was Peter. Kaya nga pagdating ni Paul sa Rome there were Christians already.

There is no statement in the Bible that Peter was never in Rome. The Bible simply was silent about his whereabouts. That whereabout was provided by historical records and evidences.

The denial of Peter's presence in Rome is a recent invention. Anyway Rome is special because of Paul and Mark also. Can you say that to the place of origin of your group? Ha, ha, ha...

[In the second chapter of Paul's letter to the Galatians, Paul clearly stated that he is the apostle to the Gentilae=s and as Peter is the apostle to the Jews together with John and other apostles.]

Paul only received laying of hands from the Apostles. And in Acts 15 when there was dispute Paul didn't have enough authority to settle the dispute about circumcision. He went to the Apostles. The original Apostles led by Peter were the one who gave the final decision. Not Paul.

Besides Paul's apostleship to the gentiles ay secondary to the universal authority of Peter. Peter was the one who preached at Pentecost when people from almost all parts of the known world that time were present. Baptism for the GEntiles were given through Peter in Acts 10. By Baptizing Cornelius St. Peter opened the door for the Gentiles to be accepted to the Christian Faith. It was God who chose Peter to do that. And God did that before Paul became prominent in the Church.

[Clearly he stated that Peter is preaching to the Jews not to the Gentiles.]

Only blind can say that Peter didn't preach to the Gentiles because he converted Gentiles on Pentecost and he preached and baptized Cornelius.

Besides, it is still a plus factor for the Roman Church to be the most special place of ministry for St. Paul.

[Paul'companion in preaching is mostly Barnabas and some help from Timothy and Titus.]

We never claimed that St. Peter is the companion of St. Paul in his missionary journeys. Where? We never claimed that.

[In the history the Roman Catholic church was founded in the time of Emperor Constantine on the early years of 300 AD.]

Ha, ha, ha... There were already Popes and Bishops before Constantine. The Church was already being called Catholic years before Constantine. Ha, ha, ha... Constantine was not yet born but his mother later the Empress Helena was already a Catholic believer.

IF YOU WANT HISTORICAL PROOFS HERE THEY ARE:

"See that ye all follow the bishop, even as Christ Jesus does the Father, and the presbytery as ye would the apostles. Do ye also reverence the deacons, as those that carry out the appointment of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Smyrneans, 8:2 (c. A.D. 110).

"[A]ll the people wondered that there should be such a difference between the unbelievers and the elect, of whom this most admirable Polycarp was one, having in our own times been an apostolic and prophetic teacher, and bishop of the Catholic Church which is in Smyrna. For every word that went out of his mouth either has been or shall yet be accomplished." Martyrdom of Polycarp, 16:2 (A.D. 155).

“…to be in honour however with the Catholic Church for the ordering of ecclesiastical discipline...one to the Laodicenes, another to the Alexandrians, both forged in Paul's name to suit the heresy of Marcion, and several others, which cannot be received into the Catholic Church; for it is not fitting that gall be mixed with honey. The Epistle of Jude no doubt, and the couple bearing the name of John, are accepted by the Catholic Church...But of Arsinous, called also Valentinus, or of Militiades we receive nothing at all.” The fragment of Muratori (A.D. 177).

"[N]or does it consist in this, that he should again falsely imagine, as being above this [fancied being], a Pleroma at one time supposed to contain thirty, and at another time an innumerable tribe of Aeons, as these teachers who are destitute of truly divine wisdom maintain; while the Catholic Church possesses one and the same faith throughout the whole world, as we have already said." Irenaeus, Against Heresies, 1:10,3 (A.D. 180).

“For it is evident that those men lived not so long ago,--in the reign of Antoninus for the most part,--and that they at first were believers in the doctrine of the Catholic Church, in the church of Rome under the episcopate of the blessed Eleutherus, until on account of their ever restless curiosity, with which they even infected the brethren, they were more than once expelled.” Tertullian, On the Prescription Against Heretics, 22,30 (A.D. 200).

”Whence you ought to know that the bishop is in the Church, and the Church in the bishop; and if any one be not with the bishop, that he is not in the Church, and that those flatter themselves in vain who creep in, not having peace with God's priests, and think that they communicate secretly with some; while the Church, which is Catholic and one, is not cut nor divided, but is indeed connected and bound together by the cement of priests who cohere with one another.” Cyprian, To Florentius, Epistle 66/67 (A.D. 254).

“But for those who say, There was when He was not, and, Before being born He was not, and that He came into existence out of nothing, or who assert that the Son of God is of a different hypostasis or substance...these the Catholic and apostolic Church anathematizes.” Creed of Nicea (A.D. 325).

"Concerning those who call themselves Cathari, if they come over to the Catholic and Apostolic Church, the great and holy Synod decrees that they who are ordained shall continue as they are in the clergy. But it is before all things necessary that they should profess in writing that they will observe and follow the dogmas of the Catholic and Apostolic Church; in particular that they will communicate with persons who have been twice married, and with those who having lapsed in persecution have had a period [of penance] laid upon them, and a time [of restoration] fixed so that in all things they will follow the dogmas of the Catholic Church..." Council of Nicaea I (A.D. 325).

[Read all the whole new testament it does'nt say that RCC is in there.]

It is there. You are simply blind to it. It is your hidden diabolical church that is not there.

[The last apostle died is John and wrote the last book of the bible,]

Where is that in the Bible? Where can you find in the Bible that the last Apostle that died is John? Where did he die? How did he die? What happened to his corpse?

[there's no mention of roman church about the prophecy of the seven churches.]

Because the Roman Church is already mentioned in THE EPISTLE OF PAUL TO THE ROMANS which is the most important of all Epistles... that is why it follows the Gospels and Acts. Ha, ha, ha....

The Seven Churches in Revelation were mentioned because they were WARNED for they are in danger of loosing the true faith. In fact many of these territories were destroyed and the Christian presence in the area is a mere echo of the past glory. The Roman Church was steadfast in her fidelity to the Gospel that is why it is the most important Christian center from Apostolic times until now.

[If we read the NT and look closely at the way the christians worship and beliefs is is almost opposite as what the catholics are doing.]

It is exactly like the Catholic worship. Ha, ha, ha... How do you worship? Let me see. Ha, ha, ha...

[No need to list all of them, kukulangin ako ng oras.]

We can discuss them one by one para hindi ka kulangin sa oras. And please tell me also your manner of worship and your religion so that I can check what you and your pastors are doing. To see if they are Biblical or not. He, he, he...

[So Abe,being so quick na magparatang sa iba ng sinner, heretics, devil, evil, tanga gago at iba pa, look at your self, dahil sinasabi ng Bible na suriin muna natin ang ating sarili bago makisama sa pagkain at paginom ng laman at dugo ni KRISTO.]

You can tell that to yourself and to your own kind. After your own kind demonized us you demand us to be gentle eh. C'mmon Philipp stop being hypocrite. When I say that they are heretics I am not presenting an opinion but the Official stand of an Ecumenical Council of the Church. When I used the word devil or evil there are basis for that. For instance, I called their doctrine of BIBLE ALONE as of the devil because IT IS NOT BIBLICAL. They made it a Dogma yet it is not found in the Bible. The same with FAITH ALONE. I simply applied to them their own reasoning. Ha, ha, ha... You are hurt because it hits you. You are a heretic and a member of a religion recently invented.

[gANON PA MAN SUMAIYO NAWA ANG AWA NG ATING lORD.]
AT SUMAIYO RIN.

  1. Naming Emperor Constantine as the founder of the Catholic Church is an evidence of poor scholarship and gross ignorance of history. Even Protestant writers admit that Constantine is not the founder of the Catholic Church.

The church in Rome was by far the most important church in Christendom: it was situated in the ancient imperial capital of the empire; it had the largest congregation of Christians; and its ROOTS WENT BACK TO PETER AND PAUL, the two greatest saints in the church. (A HANDBOOK OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, By: John SCHWARZ, page 153)

John Schwarz is a protestant writer he admit that the history of the Catholic Church can be traced back into the time of the apostles Peter and Paul. During the time of Peter and Paul Emperor Constantine was not yet born!

At one level, of course, the interpretation of Roman Catholicism is closely related to the interpretation of Christianity as such. For by its own reading of history, Roman Catholicism began with the very beginnings of the Christian movement. (A HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY, By: Robert A. Guisepi)

Christianity began at 33 A.D when Christ established the Church, and according to this source the history of the Catholic Church began at the beginning of Christianity itself! At 33 A.D Emperor Constantine was not yet born!

That the Emperor was sincere, and not a dissembler, in regard to his
conversion to Christianity, no person can doubt who believes that men's
actions are an index of their real feelings. It is indeed true that
Constantine's life was not such as the precepts of Christianity required; and it is also true that he remained a catechumen all his life, and was received to full membership in the Church, by baptism, only a few days before his death, at Nicomedia. (CONVERSION OF CONSTANTINE: DECLINE OF PAGANISM, By: Johann Lorenz Von Mosheim)

Constantine converted to Christianity 2 days before his death! Why would he convert to Catholicism if he founded it? clearly Constantine is not the founder of the Catholic Church! If Constantine is not the founder then who is?

No other than but JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF

  2. Great Job Fr Abe!

Here's one fact that most likely would totally escape from the awareness of those who oppose the Catholic Church: that everything that is true and correct in their "non-Catholic" religion (i.e. inerrancy of the Bible, justification and salvation thru the cross, Sonship of Jesus, etc, etc.) could be traced back particularly to the Church in Rome. In short, they got their correct teachings from the Church in Rome! How so? It's really simple. Because of all the Churches mentioned in the New Testament, it is only the faith of the Church of Rome that is "HERALDED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD"(Romans 1:8).

That "world" would eventually include the Philippines, where Philip the heretic now resides. HAHAHAHA!

This is a great piece of research. I decided to post it as a separate material so that more people can read it and learn and enjoy. God bless you.

  4. Right there you are Bro. Manny. From the very beginning the Faith of Rome is Universal, i.e., CATHOLIC. It is HERALDED ALL OVER THE WORLD. Unlike the tiny scrap felloship of that Philip the Heretic. Ha, ha, ha...

Pang kanto daw ako kasi I called them Heretic. Well, I call it TRIDENTINE VOCABULARY.

  5. Rabid Anti-Catholics don't really know who they are. So we tell them, using what you call a TRIDENTINE VOCABULARY, also known as THE TRUTH: "HERETICS!"
