NOW, IN OBEDIENCE TO THE BIBLE WHICH SAYS THAT JESUS IS THE HEAD BUT THERE MUST BE BISHOPS IN THE CHURCH TO GOVERN OR FEED OR OVERSEE OR TO SHEPHERD THE FLOCK THE CATHOLIC CATECHISM PROCLAIMS THAT WE MUST HAVE BISHOPS. THESE BISHOPS MUST BE UNITED WITH THE SUCCESSOR OF PETER AS THE APOSTLES WERE UNITED WITH PETER DURING THEIR LIFETIME:

CCC#883 "The college or body of bishops has no authority unless united with the Roman Pontiff, Peter's successor, as its head." As such, this college has "supreme and full authority over the universal Church; but this power cannot be exercised without the agreement of the Roman Pontiff."

OF COURSE. AS APOSTLES JOHN AND JAMES AND ANDREW WERE UNITED WITH PETER THE FIRST OF THE APOSTLES THEN THE BISHOPS MUST BE IN COMMUNION WITH THE UNIVERSAL PASTOR AND LEADER OF THE CHURCH. IF THEY WILL NOT BE IN COMMUNION WITH HIM THEN THERE WILL BE DIVISION OF THE CHURCH. THAT IS WHY ST. PAUL CONFERRED WITH PETER BEFORE HE FULLY ENTERED INTO MINISTRY:

Galatians 1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

CCC#894 "The bishops, as vicars and legates of Christ, govern the particular Churches assigned to them by their counsels, exhortations, and example, but over and above that also by the authority and sacred power" which indeed they ought to exercise so as to edify, in the spirit of service which is that of their Master.

THE BISHOPS AS LEADERS OF THE CHURCH ARE ITS SERVANTS. THE SAME THING THAT JESUS HAD TOLD THE APOSTLES, ADMONISHING THEM TO LOVE AND SERVE ONE ANOTHER. THAT IS ALSO WHAT ST. PAUL TOLD THE EPHESIANS IN ACTS 20:28. ST. PETER SECONDED THIS BEAUTIFUL EXHORTATION OF ST. PAUL IN HIS EPISTLE:

1 Peter 5:1-4 I, who am an ELDER myself, appeal to the church ELDERS among you. I am a witness of Christ's sufferings, and I will share in the glory that will be revealed. I appeal to you to BE SHEPHERD OF THE FLOCKS that God gave you and to take care of it willingly, as God wants you to, and not unwillingly. Do your work, not for mere pay, but from a real desire to serve. Do not try to rule over those who have been put in your care, but be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the glorious crown which will never lose its brightness.

ST. PETER WAS AN ELDER OF THE CHURCH JUST LIKE THE OTHER APOSTLES. BUT LATER AS THE FAITHFUL INCREASED THEY ALSO APPOINTED OR ELECTED OTHER ELDERS OF THE CHURCH TO BETTER ADMINISTER EACH LOCAL TERRITORIES. THESE ELDERS ARE CALLED BISHOPS OR SHEPHERDS OR OVERSEER OF THE CHURCH. JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERED... HE IS THE CHIEF SHEPHERED. BUT UNDER HIM THERE ARE THE SERVANT SHEPHERDS... THE BISHOPS.

IN INC THERE ARE NO BISHOPS BUT THE MANALOS ARE REIGNING AUTOMATICALLY AS EXECUTIVE MINISTERS WHICH IS REALLY ANTI-BIBLICAL. Conscious of his own weaknesses, "the bishop . . . can have compassion for those who are ignorant and erring. He should not refuse to listen to his subjects whose welfare he promotes as of his very own children. . . . The faithful . . . should be closely attached to the bishop as the Church is to Jesus Christ, and as Jesus Christ is to the Father"

THE AUTHORITY OF THE BISHOP IS FROM JESUS AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH RECOGNIZES THAT JESUS IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD OF THE CHURCH. THE BISHOPS ARE MERE SERVANTS OF JESUS. THIS IS BIBLICAL.
