As a Catholic and Mason i am shocked by what i have read here. Fr. You mean well, and are following the teachings of the church, but yes, you and the church itself is misinformed, and make statements which are only correct if your stop your reasoning halfway or make assumptions as to a persons beliefs.
To begin:

You state there that Masons believe that both are true. We dont! We believe what we believe, we simply dont condem others for not believeing what we do. I dont believe that Muslims or Jews or any other religion besides Roman Catholic is truly Gods church, BUT i also remember "judge not, lest ye be judged". I accept that all people have the right to believe what they believe. I also believe that it is not my place to condemn them for it, not to do or say anything to them about their beliefs. I life my life in Christ like fashion (just with mistakes), and in this way, in living my life as an example of Faith, Hope, Love and Charity, i can bring those who are willing to Christ's light.
Secondly:

To that I simply say, NO i cant. We Masons are bound by oath taken on a Holy Bible not to reveal the meanings or nuances of our teachings.
But suffice to say that as a Catholic, nothing the Masons teach, does anything but reinforce the teachings of God. It is simply interpreted by each brother differenly according to what he has faith in. Since I believe in Christ, the Masonic teachings take on a strictly Christ driven meaning, but i am sure that to a Masonic Muslim or Jew, that they would interpret them to fit their faith.
Lastly,

Our teachings and beliefs are all ritual and activity and symbolism, so if you no nothing of that part, how can you declare a position of something that you only THINK you understand.
Your viewpoint is incorrect, not because you are not intellegent or lazy in your research, but because of your ignorance to the truth and over confidence in what you think you know. Any person who truly understands and can properly relay the teachings of Masonry, cannot and will not disclose them. This is the main reason for the mis interprtaions on the teachings of masonry.
Now i know the question will be put forth that if the teaching are so good, why are they not public. Simpy stated, it is because they are passed by mouth to each person, and you can not gain a proper understanding of them from a purely scholastic education of the princiapls. It comes from each Mason passing it to his brother Mason.
I wish you well in your continued study of our teachings, but unfortunatly, i fear you will never understand, as many do not, what it truly means to be a Mason.

May be the age of Dinasours came many years before your calculated time.
Also, the Book of Genesis must not be interpreted literally as if it is a historical book. The book of Genesis presents to us religious truths not blow by blow historical narration. The message of the story is that God punished the people for their sins and He cleansed it by flood. But the actual date was not mentioned. And there is no mention at all if there were dinasours or no dinasours by then.
DON'T TRY TO FIT MODERN SCIENTIFIC DATA OR THEORIES WITH THE BOOK OF GENESIS WHICH IS A THEOLOGICAL WRITING. THEY ARE NOT OF THE SAME KIND.

ReplyDeleteTaga cavite ako, at andami ko nakikita na mga sasakyan may stickers ng logo ng freemasons (triangle na magkapatong nakababa at pataas). Meron pa sila sa bacoor na mason temple. Nakakalungkot mang isipin na si gen. aguinaldo kasi ay isa ring freemason kasama ng iba pa nating bayani. Habang si rizal naman ay nagretract sa bandang huli (salamat sa diyos!).

Sana po magkaron ng pastoral letter or banggitin sa misa na pinagbabawal ng simabahang katolika ang sumali sa kultong yun. I think na yung mga conspiracy na sinasabi nyong hindi totoo ay pwedeng totoo. Dati mareresearch mo sa Wikipedia si Clotilde Bersone, pero ngayon tinanggal na dahil siguro malaking expose ang naging buhay nya sa mga freemason.
