A news item in Philippine Daily Inquirer on October 6, 2010, front page, said:
A group composed of Catholics yesterday expressed support for the passage of reproductive health (RH) law and disagreement with the bishops' opposition to it. Dr. Edelina de la Paz, national coordinator of the Catholics for RH Movement, stressed that her group was not against the Church. "We remain faithful to the Catholic Church, but we strongly disagree with the bishops."Please DO NOT BE FOOLED by this group. The Philippine bishops are not acting apart from the Church. They act as one with the Pope (bishop of Rome) and ALL the bishops in the world. Both Catechism of the Catholic Church (the "constitution" of the Church) and the Code of Canon Law (the "by-laws" of the Church) explicitly says this.
CCC #877: "Every bishop exercises his ministry from within the Episcopal college (of bishops), in communion with the bishop of Rome, the successor of St. Peter and head of the college." Canon #330: "Just as, by the decree of the Lord, Saint Peter and the rest of the Apostles form one College, so for a like reason the Roman Pontiff, the successor of Peter, and the Bishops, the successors of the Apostles, are united together in one.Artificial contraception is prohibited in CCC #2370 and #2399. Every faithful Catholic is enjoined to trust the 2000-year old wisdom of the Church which as survived countless heresies because Jesus promised to be with His Bride until the end of time.
Canon #752 tells us: "A religious submission of intellect and will is to be given to any doctrine which either the Supreme Pontiff or the College of Bishops declare upon a matter of faith or morals. Christ's faithful are therefore to ensure that they avoid whatever does not accord with that doctrine."One simply CANNOT be faithful to the Catholic Church and go against her bishops because they are not two separate things. The fake 'catholic' group is even raising funds for the legal defense of Carlos Celdran, the RH activist who violated the sanctity of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. There just is NO WAY this group can pretend to be "faithful to the Catholic Church" and defend the desecrator of Catholicism's holiest rite and sacrament. Dear brother and sister Catholic. Let us get this straight in our head: Hatred for priests and bishops (regarding their anti-RH stand) equals hatred for the Church which equals hatred for God. It is God who prohibits artificial contraception and the Church is simply carrying out her mandate to preserve and propagate the Word of God. Right in the very first book of the Holy Bible, in Genesis 38:1 - 10, Onan was the first recorded man who availed of artificial contraception, the withdrawal method. Onan just wanted the pleasure of sex without the responsibility of an offspring. "What he did greatly offended the LORD, and the LORD took his life too." (Gen 38:10) Let us remain truly faithful to the Church that feeds us the Body of Christ. God bless you! ReplyDeleteI read in one of Eli Soriano's websites saying that there is one thing that GOD cannot do and that is "GOD CANNOT LIE OR DECEIVE HIMSELF." They base this from the scriptures....
“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie..." (Heb 6.18)
"In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began.” (Titus 1.2)
Eli says that those who say that "Nothing is impossible with God" are misled. Because of this premise, he would imply that if one would say that ALL things are possible with God, logically does it mean is it possible that GOD can lie or deceive itself?
Because we as Catholics believe that God is omnipotent, ominiscient and omnipresent. In particular omniscience of God, if there is God cannot do and that he can deceive himself, then the doctrine of omniscience can be in question or would it be so?
And how can we say about the verse from the scriptures that all things are possible:
"Nothing is impossible with God..." (Lk 1.37) on the Annunciation story
"What is impossible for men is possible for God..." (Lk 18.27)...
Will it contradict GOD himself as all-knowing?

FIRST, HUMAN BEINGS' ACTION IS BASED ON 'CAN DO' AND 'CAN'T DO'. WHY? BECAUSE WE ARE WE RELY ON PHYSICAL ABILITIES. THERE IS AN EXTENT AND LIMIT OF WHAT WE CAN DO AND THEREFORE THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE CAN'T DO.
THAT PRINCIPLE IS PROPER ONLY FOR CREATURES AND LIMITED BEINGS. BECAUSE IMPERFECTIONS IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS. DOING EVIL SUCH AS LYING, DECEIVING, STEALING ARE NOT MANIFESTATION OF POWER, GREATNESS BUT OF WEAKNESS.

WHAT IS STUPID IN HIS ASSERTION IS THAT HE IS APPLYING TERMINOLOGIES PROPER FOR CREATURES TO THE CREATOR. HIS REASONING IS EVIL AND DEFECTIVE. FOR INSTANCE, GOD CANNOT LIE WHILE MAMA ELI SORIANO CAN LIE. SO WHO IS MORE POWERFUL BETWEEN GOD AND MAMA ELI? IF WE WILL FOLLOW HIS PRINCIPLE OF 'CAPABILITY' AND 'NON CAPABILITY' THEN MAMA ELI IS BETTER THAN GOD. THE DOG IS CAPABLE OF DYING AND GOD IS NOT CAPABLE OF DYING, THEN THE DOG IS BETTER THAN GOD IF WE WILL APPLY THE STUPID REASONING OF MAMA ELI.

i sure am enlightened! before, i was so amazed of bro eli how he answers all bible questions and i am almost through with their so called "mass indoctrination", and even determined to be baptized, until i heard (first hand) with my own ears contradictions from his own mouth regarding their teachings and demands:
ReplyDelete1. accdg to the bible, sunday lang daw ang abuluyan at walang ikapo. di daw sila tulad ng ibang relihiyon. voluntary donations lang daw sa kanila. but the thing is meron silang "commercial spots" which they collect on saturdays or any day na merong pagtitipon, which is against the bible verse that he mentioned. they say hindi naman daw iyon sapilitan, but based on their memebers' testimonies pag hindi ka nagbigay, kokonsensyahin ka ng mga ministro nila. hahaha! hindi pinipilit, pero kinokonsensya. hahaha!
2) these "commercial spots" are supposed to help brother eli televise his evangelism on air sa UNTV. 24hours daw yon and wala naman mga sponsors or commercials kaya ang nagbabayad daw ay si bro eli. tulungan daw siya dahil naman niya kaya lahat iyon. marami daw siyang negosyo pero lahat ng kita ay napupunta sa church nila kaya mahirap lang daw siya to the point na nangungutang siya sa bangko. lubog daw siya sa utang. magtulungan daw. what is alarming is that this is again, against his teaching. in one of the indoctrination sessions, i heard him saying (not exact words) "wag ng magnanais ng sobra, kasi baka magkasala ka pa sa pagkamit ng bagay na mahirap abutin. kung janitor ka lang, e wag no ng isiping magiging presidente ka pa baka makagawa ka pa ng mali o magkabaon baon ka sa utalng." although these are not the exact words, the point is he contradicted himself by doing things na hindi naman kaya ng kanyang bulsa, to the point na nagkakautang utang pa siya at hinihingi pa niya sa mga miyembro niya ang kanyang mga programs. although maganda naman ang intention, which is to evengelize, but another question would be, is he evangelizing the truth? or do the "commercial spots" really go to the evangelization, not in his pockets?
3)yung mga adorno na daw sa katawan ng babae at kung anu-anong mga sobrang palamuti sa katawan tanggalin na: mga hikaw, bracelets, singsing (pati wedding ring). wag daw magpagupit, wag daw mag make-up and perfumes, pero perfumes wag na sana pero pwede "ko" na payagan.wag daw mag jeans dahil panglalaki daw ang jeans, kaya nga may zipper sa harap e dahil dun nilalabas ang ... ng lalaki. if you are going to examine this teaching ni eli, he sain "pwede ko na payagan" means that the authority in his church is him alone. contrary to what he said that he never teaches kung di naman sinasabi ng bible. bakit niya sinabing bawal ang perfume then after a few seconds pwede na. regarding jeans, he said pwede naman magslacks ang babae especially yung mga may outdoor jobs, pero wag daw lagi magslacks? ano ba talaga? diba bawal ang may zipper sa harap, bakit pwede na, then biglang bawi na naman na wag daw lagi. ano ba yan? kung talagang bawal, e di bawal! wag sasabihing minsan ay pwede. hahaha!

these are just 3 of the things na natatandaan ko when i attended their mass indoctrination. after hearing these contradictions, hindi ko natapos yung buong weed ng indoctrination kahit 1 day na lang ang kulang ko. sa narinig kong mga iyon pa lang i'm already convinced that he is not teaching correctly, the more am i convinced when i got read more of his contradictions from other religions and from his own members and trusted ministers! the problem with "most" catholics like me, ay mahina ang faith sa mother church that is why madaling mapaniwala sa iba, just like what happened to me. thanks be to God, He gave me wisdom to do simple logic and figure out i was being hypnotized by eli! so what i did, which i didn't do before, i search within the catholic church! enough of searching sa ibang churches. dapat talaga inuna ko muna ang chatholic church instead of the other way around. now i'm reading catholic defender websites until i cam across fr abe's blog. very very informative and clear. and nasasagot ang mga questions ko clearly. i still have lots of questions pero inuunti-unti ko ang pag post because i know fr abe has a lot of questions to answer sa blog na ito other than mine.

fr. abe, a few months ago, i watched eli soriano's live steam program "truthcaster" nandun pala siya sa internet nag eevangelize. but they it's hard to tell where they are. sometimes he would say nasa US daw sila by saying "...alam ninyo ba dito sa US...." but after how many days, or episode, he would say.. "...doon sa US...." So there are times na nadudulas siya. if you would observe the setting of his office where he is being broadcasted, you can see that it is the same place, hindi nagbago kahit anong episode. how then can he say "dito sa US" or "doon sa US"? hehehe! nevertheless, sana fr abe kahit through webcast makapagdebate kayo kasi prang impossible ang magkaharap because of his situaton. in his program, nanghahamon pa din sila ng debate kahit sinong religion. by the way pala, his truthcaster program is every thursday around 8am to 11 am philippine time. kapag tapos na ang airing nila, they would play a recorded episode where in tinatalakay nila yung regading the rape case. lahat daw ng cases niya dismissed kaya wala daw siyang tinataguan. hinarap daw niya lahat iyon even yung rape case. may evidence daw siya na yung the day of the alleged rape was done kasalukuyang nageevangelize daw siya sa ibang lugar, and it is supported by the recorded tapes kaya daw nadismiss. hindi rin daw siya nagtatago, instead, nageevangelize sa buong mundo through internet. hindi daw totoo ang nasa wikipedia dahil wala naman daw siya sa Red Notice, and hindi raw siya tinagurinag "fugitive". then he showed documents as proof. hay! ano kaya ang totoo? isa lang ang alam kong totoo. his church is not the true church!
