There are homosexual Americans, Russians, Britons, Germans, French, Filipinos, etc. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEIR NATIONALITY?
There are homosexual teachers, doctors, soldiers, lawyers, engineers, athletes, govt. employees etc. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEIR PROFESSION?
There are homosexual priests, pastors and ministers and televangelists... WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEIR FAITH?
- VOCATION IS A DIVINE CALL TO A PERSON TO OFFER HIMSELF OR HERSELF TO HIM IN A CONSECRATED OR SPECIAL MANNER. THE SINFULNESS OF THE PERSON DOES NOT DENY THE GENUINENESS OF THE VOCATION IT ONLY MANIFESTS THE FRAILTY AND WEAKNESS OF THAT PERSON, LIKE DAVID WHO WAS TRULY CHOSEN BY GOD YET HE WAS INTO ADULTERY AND MURDER. OF COURSE, WHEN DAVID WAS INTO ADULTERY HE WAS UNFAITHFUL TO HIS VOCATION AS KING AND A SERVANT OF GOD. THE SAME THING WITH MINISTERS WHO ARE COMMITTING HOMOSEXUAL ACTS. THEY ARE TRAITORS TO THE FAITH. IT IS THE PERSON THAT MUST BE BLAMED FOR THEIR SINFULNESS NOT THE CHURCH OR THE VOCATION ITSELF.
HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT ROOTED IN VOCATION, PROFESSION OR MINISTRY. IT IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDER THAT AFFECTS PEOPLE FROM ALMOST ALL STRATA OF LIFE. YOUR EFFORT TO CONNECT HOMOSEXUALITY WITH VOCATION IS PATHETIC AND ILLOGICAL. NOT EVEN 1% OF OUR PRIESTS HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF HOMOSEXUALITY. THERE ARE MORE PASTORS AND MINISTERS WHO HAVE BEEN INVOLVED INTO SUCH A THING.

I have a homosexual tendency and I want to become a priest. But According to the Congregation for Catholic Education imposed the discipline that the the Church "cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practice homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"" So because of this I look a different way to serve the lord and continue to live a life of penance.

ReplyDeleteIf you entered the Seminary your tendency will all the more be strong because the Seminary is an all-boys place with the exceptions of some professors, cooks or secretaries. The more Satan will tempt you because there are handsome and young seminarians all around you who are pious, friendly, intelligent and talented. You would have been like a fox inside the poultry. So, sooner or later you might fall into temptation and it will create scandal in the Church either as a Seminarian or as a Priest.
Thank God that the Holy Spirit inspired you to be honest to yourself and respected the guidance of the Church on the matter.
I realized father that entering the religious life or priestly life is not a prerequisite for salvation though choosing such vocation is a way in giving life to Christ. There are still many approach to this universal Call to Holiness. I pray that the lord will give me his grace to struggle in this disorder- I know I have to struggle for this until I reach my grave.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much father, though I feel sad that must lay to the grave this frustration of being a priest, I am consoled by the fact when the Lord shuts a door, he opens another one.
