Concerned citizens re-stage prayer vigil for fight vs. RH bill

 

MANILA, Nov. 15, 2011–The Soldiers of Christ Catholic Charismatic Community, led by Bro. Ting Arcadio, and  Pro-Life Philippines Foundation will lead an overnight prayer vigil and “Misa ng Pasasalamat” at the Payatas Park in front of the House of Representatives on Monday, Nov. 21, from 8:00 pm to 3:00 am of the following day.

 

Assembly at the park, which is across the House of Representatives Main Gate, Batasan Road, Batasan Hills, Quezon City will be at 7:00 and the program will start at 8:00. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 pm.

This will be followed by a whole night of prayers and testimonies, much like the prayer vigil the group held in June in the same venue on the last week of plenary debates before going on recess.

The June 6 event gathered some 3,000 attendees and had several women giving their personal testimonies of overcoming extreme hardship and experiencing healing and transformation through faith. Interpersed with the testimonies and a rousing talk about the mistaken notion of the reproductive health (RH) bill being pro-poor and pro-women were worship services including spirited singing, dancing and vocal prayers.

All are encouraged to attend the event and, more importantly, the plenary sessions in Congress to show their support to pro-life solons in opposing anti-life legislation such as House Bill 4244.
