St. Peter the Apostle baptizing the gentile Cornelius
-
They are also members of the Church through their bapstism....
-
NOT SO EASY.
YOU HAVE TO BEAR IN MIND THAT MANY BORN AGAIN ARE NOT USING THE VALID FORMULA GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS IN MATTHEW 28:19 WHICH IS THE TRINITARIAN FORMULA. INSTEAD, THEY ARE USING THE WORDS: "I BAPTIZED YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS" WHICH IS A MERE DESCRIPTION OF OUR BELONGING WITH CHRIST THROUGH BAPTISM BUT NOT THE PROPER FORMULA GIVEN BY THE DIVINE MASTER. SO THEIR BAPTISMS ARE MOSTLY INVALID.
AND IF EVER THE BAPTISM OF SOME OF THEM ARE VALID THEY SQUANDERED IT BY REJECTING THE TRUE CHURCH FOUNDED BY JESUS. THEY SUCCUMBED TO SCHISM AND HERESY.
-
To anonymous, with all due respect...Technically and sacramentally they are not; since they are not baptize under the ethos of the One True Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ i.e. the Catholic Church.
In Christ,
Bro GM -
This is in response to the answer concerning the baptismal formula. You
declare it to be invalid if it is done in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ. If this is the case then all of the apostles did it incorrectly.
There is no scripture recorded in the bible that performs the baptism
in the name(singular)of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost. What makes you more correct in your stand then what the disciples
who were in direct relationship with Jesus? How are you able to change
what they said and to call it invalid when there are multiple examples
of them baptizing people in the name Lord Jesus Christ. Father, Son, and
Holy Ghost are all titles. They are not the name that he is called by.
Jesus has the answers for that in John 5:43 for the Father, and John
14:26. It is amazing that we want to call our God by a title and still
at the ssame time declare that we have a relationship with him. If you
want to know who this person or that person would you not ask what is
his\her name.Move that council out of the way and look at the word of
God for the truth.

[This is in response to the answer concerning the baptismal formula. You

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH DOESN'T ACCEPT AS VALID BAPTISMS DONE NOT USING THE BAPTISMAL FORMULA GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS. THAT IS NOT MINE THAT IS THE STAND OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
WE REJECT BAPTISM USING THE NAME OF JESUS 'ONLY'. BECAUSE THE LORD JESUS GAVE US A TRINITARIAN FORMULA WHICH IS "IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT." SINCE JESUS GAVE IT THAT IS THE FORMULA FOR BAPTISM THAT HE PREFERS. THE BIBLE IS CLEAR ON THAT:
Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"
THE LORD JESUS CATEGORICALLY COMMANDED THE APOSTLES TO BAPTIZE USING THAT FORMULA. SO, THAT IS WHAT WE ARE FOLLOWING. IF JESUS SAID: "BAPATIZING THEM WITH MY NAME ONLY" THEN WE WILL DO THAT BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU HE DIDN'T SAY THAT. BAPTISM IS A SACRAMENT OF JESUS AND THEREFORE HIS WILL MUST BE FOLLOWED IN CELEBRATING IT.
[ If this is the case then all of the apostles did it incorrectly.]
THE APOSTLES DID IT CORRECTLY BECAUSE THEY SURELY OBEYED THE DIVINE MASTER. THEY FULFILLED THE COMMAND OF THE LORD AND THE 2,000 YEARS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH USING THAT FORMULA IS INCONTESTABLE. ONLY THE PROTESTANTS AND THE BORN AGAIN WHICH ARE NEW INVENTED SECTS ABANDONED THAT FORMULA. THEY ARE TRAITORS TO THE DIVINE MASTER AND SO YOU ARE.
[There is no scripture recorded in the bible that performs the baptism in the name(singular)of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.]
IT IS BECAUSE IT IS ALREADY CLEAR THAT ALL THOSE BAPTISM WERE DONE USING THE FORMULA GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS AND NO OTHER. GIVE ME THE PASSAGES SHOWING THAT THE APOSTLES USED ANOTHER FORMULA IN BAPTIZING.
-
[What makes you more correct in your stand then what the disciples who were in direct relationship with Jesus?]
IT IS NOT ME WHO IS RIGHT BUT THE CHURCH FOUNDED BY JESUS. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS RIGHT BECAUSE IT IS FULFILLING THE COMMAND SHE RECEIVED FROM THE LORD AND THE BIBLE IS VERY SPECIFIC ABOUT THAT. THE BORN AGAIN ARE TRAITORS TO THE COMMAND OF JESUS TO BAPTIZE USING THE TRINITARIAN FORMULA.
[How are you able to change what they said and to call it invalid when there are multiple examples of them baptizing people in the name Lord Jesus Christ.]
REALLY? PROVE IT. LET US SEE IF THE BIBLE WILL BEAR YOU OUT ON THAT.
[Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are all titles.]
SO WHAT IF THEY ARE TITLES. WHERE CAN YOU FIND IN THE BIBLE THAT SINCE THEY ARE TITLES THEN WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE BAPTISMAL FORMULA GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS? WHERE? CHAPTER AND VERSE PLEASE.
[They are not the name that he is called by.]
O NO, NO, NO... THIS STATEMENT IS DEMONIC. THIS IS NOT BIBLICAL. WHERE CAN YOU FIND SUPPORT FOR THIS IN THE BIBLE?
THE BIBLE IS CATEGORICAL IN CALLING GOD AS FATHER AND SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT AS THE SPIRIT OF THE FATHER AS WELL AS THE SPIRIT OF THE SON.
REGARDLESS OF YOUR PROTESTATION JESUS SAID: "BAPTIZE THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT." IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH THAT THEN IT IS YOUR PROBLEM NOT OURS. TITLES OR NO TITLES, THAT IS THE FORMULA GIVEN FOR BAPTISM.
[Jesus has the answers for that in John 5:43 for the Father, and John 14:26.]
LET ME CHECK THEN THESE VERSES AND SEE IF THEY BEAR YOUR POSITION:
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
WELL, JESUS DOESN'T SAY HERE THAT BAPTISM CAN BE DONE "IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER ONLY" OR "IN THE NAME OF JESUS ONLY". NO, NO, NO... NADA, NUNCA... IN RUSSIAN: NYET, NYET. HA HA HA... THIS VERSE DOESN'T SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM THAT WE CAN USE ANOTHER FORMULA IN BAPTISM, USING THE NAME OF JESUS ONLY. SORRY FOR YOU.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
WELL, JESUS DOESN'T SAY HERE THAT BAPTISM CAN BE DONE "IN THE NAME OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ONLY" OR "IN THE NAME OF JESUS ONLY". NO, NO, NO... NADA, NUNCA... IN RUSSIAN: NYET, NYET. HA HA HA... THIS VERSE DOESN'T SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM THAT WE CAN USE ANOTHER FORMULA IN BAPTISM, USING THE NAME OF JESUS ONLY. SORRY FOR YOU.
YOU SEE, THE COMMAND OF JESUS TO BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SOLID AND UNASSAILABLE.
[It is amazing that we want to call our God by a title and still at the ssame time declare that we have a relationship with him.]
HELLO!!! ARE YOU THERE? IT SEEMS THAT YOU ARE BECOMING DELUSIONAL. HA HA HA... SUDDENLY YOU TRANSER THE TOPIC TO TTTLES. HEY FELLA, THE TOPIC HERE CONCERNS THE PROPER FORMULA TO BE USED FOR BAPTISM. THIS IS NOT ABOUT TITLES. SO STOP IMPOSING YOUR HALLUCINATIONS ON ME. HE HE HE...
WE SAY THAT THE CORRECT AND VALID FORMULA FOR BAPTISM IS THE ONE GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS: "IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT." PROVE TO US THAT IT IS WRONG AND PROVE THAT THERE IS ANOTHER FORMULA TO BE USED IN BAPTISM BESIDE THAT ONE.
[If you want to know who this person or that person would you not ask what is his\her name.]
YOU ARE OUT OF THE TOPIC. HA HA HA... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? HA HA HA... FROM BAPTISM YOU WANT TO GO TO THE NAME OF GOD. OK THEN, WHAT IS THE NAME OF GOD?
[Move that council out of the way and look at the word of God for the truth.]
WHAT COUNCIL? I THINK YOU ARE BECOMING OUT OF YOUR MIND. WHO SAYS ABOUT A COUNCIL? WHAT I AM SAYING IS THE BAPTISMAL FORMULA GIVEN BY JESUS: "IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT" [MT 28:19]. ONLY FOOLS WILL SAY THAT IT IS NOT FROM THE WORD OF GOD.

ReplyDeleteActs 2:38 - Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of your, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit..."
ReplyDeleteto anonimous(born against) kayo na ang tumataliwas sa biblia. It is very critical and dangerous to listen to inventor of sects, they could lead you to hell withou knowing on your part. Maraming salamat po Fr. Abe sa mga info, member po ako ng CFC, your blog site helps alot to me to understand Catholic Church more.
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA... WHERE IN THAT PASSAGE DID ST. PETER STATED THAT THE MANNER OF BAPTISM MUST BE 'IN THE NAME OF JESUS ONLY'? NOWHERE.
ReplyDeleteST. PETER ONLY STATED THAT THE CONVERTS MUST REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME ONF JESUS. WE ARE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS, THAT IS WHY WE ARE CHRISTIANS BUT THE FORMULA USED IS "IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT." THE LORD JESUS GAVE THAT. EXCUSE ME, JESUS IS HIGHER THAN PETER. BESIDES, PETER DIDN'T SAY: "BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF JESUS".
ST. PETER ONLY STATED THAT BAPTISM IS BEING BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS BUT HE DIDN'T ORDER THAT THEY MUST BE BAPTIZED IN SUCH A MANNER. THE MODE OF BAPTISM WAS GIVEN BY THE LORD JESUS IN MATTHEW 28:19. ST. PETER HAS NO AUTHORITY TO CHANGE THAT AND THERE IS NO COMMAND FROM PETER TO CHANGE THAT.
SORRY YOUR VERSE IS NOT SUPPORTIVE OF YOUR CLAIM.
