IS THE POSSIBLE DISCOVERY OF LIFE-FORMS OUTSIDE THE EARTH WILL CONTRADICT THE BIBLE?

Job spoke of God who stretched out the heavens [cf. Job 9:8] and Isaiah presents God speaking that He created ALL THINGS AND HE STRETCHES OUT THE HEAVENS AND SPREADS THE EARTH. Later on this was supported by the Big Bang Theory that the Universe is expanding.

Nasagot niyo po ito ng maayos pero i just want to clear more issues regarding this topic. Siguro po ay aware kayo that NASA had confirmed for the first time, that the planet kepler-22b is habitable and possible to have creatures that are not found in earth. Ang tanong ko po ay, if they were right, nasa bible po ba ito? kasi po, as far as i can remember, wala pa po akong nbbsa sa bibliya about life outside the earth, or about creatures (perhaps human-like creature) in the other world or planets.

Hindi po ba isa itong napakahalagang information that should be found in the bible? Wala po akong naalalang part sa bible that talks about the existence of "other humans". It seems like the discovery of other life in the outer space is very contrary to what the bible tells us about our universe.

DEFINITELY, THE DISCOVERY OF NEW HUMAN SPECIES OR OTHER LIVING BEINGS SHALL NOT DESTROY THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE BIBLE. WHY? BECAUSE EVERY YEAR SOMETHING NEW IS BEING DISCOVERED IN THE WORLD SUCH AS NEW SPECIES OF PLANTS, BIRDS, ANIMALS, INSECTS, VIRUS, ETC. YET THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE BIBLE WAS NOT DESTROYED RATHER ITS AUTHENTICITY IS ALL THE MORE UPHELD. BECAUSE IT MANIFESTS THE POWER AND WISDOM AND THE GLORY OF GOD THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE.

OF COURSE IT IS IN THE BIBLE. BUT THE BIBLE GIVES THE GENERAL DESCRIPTION SUCH AS THE LORD IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS WHETHER VISIBLE OR INVISILBE... THE SON OF GOD IS THE ORIGIN OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE:

Acts 14:15, "....We proclaim to you good news that you should turn from these idols to the living God, 'who made heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them.'"

Colossians 1:15-16, "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible...."

SO, THE LORD WHO MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH IS ALSO THE LORD OF THE OTHER PLANETS AND ALL THAT THEY CONTAINED:

Psalm 8:1 & 2 "O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens... When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained"

AS NASA DISCOVERED AND STUDIED MORE THE MOON AND THE STARS THIS TRUTH OF FAITH HAS BECOME MORE MANIFESTED. THE UNIVERSE IS SET IN ORDER AND EVEN WITHOUT TELESCOPE LIKE THE GREAT HUBBLE TELESCOPE THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF THE GLORY OF GOD SHINING THROUGH THE STARS. THUS, THE PRESENCE OF LIFE SIMILAR TO EARTH IN OTHER GALAXIES WILL ONLY ADD GLORY TO THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS WHO IS GOD.

HA HA HA... THE BIBLE IS PRIMARILY THE BOOK OF FAITH FOR OUR SALVATION. IT IS NOT THE TEXTBOOK FOR BIOLOGY WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE NAMES OF ALGAE, MICROBES, HERBS, ETC. IF YOU WANT THOSE THINGS THEN READ THE ENCYCLEDIA AND OTHER SCIENCE REFERENCES.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF THE TRUTH OF FAITH THAT ALL LIFE COMES FROM GOD AND HIS SON JESUS:

Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Is 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

Ps 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Jn 1:3-4 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT ALL THE PLANETS NOT JUST THE EARTH BUT ALL CELESTIAL BODIES ARE FROM GOD AND ARE CREATED BY GOD. SO ANY NEW DISCOVERIES EITHER HERE ON EARTH OR IN THE OUTER SPACE DOES NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. 

 

MUCH MORE, THE BIBLE IS NOT AGAINST THE IDEA THAT THERE ARE LIFE OUTSIDE THE EARTH. BECAUSE THE BIBLE DEMANDS WORSHIP OF GOD NOT ONLY FROM EARTHLLINGS BUT ALSO FROM CREATURES OUTSIDE THE EARTH:

Psa 148:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
Psa 148:2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
Psa 148:3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Psa 148:4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
Psa 148:5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
Psa 148:6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
Psa 148:7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
Psa 148:8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

NO. AS I'VE STATED THE BIBLE IS NOT INTENDED TO LIST ALL THE LIVING SPECIES IN THE UNIVERSE OR EVEN ALL THE NAMES OF TOWNS AND CITIES AND COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD. YOU CANNOT FIND IN THE BIBLE THE LIST OF THE NAMES OF CARS OR CELLPHONES OR THE COLORS OF UNDERWEAR MADE IN NEW YORK. YOU CANNOT EVEN FIND IN THE BIBLE THE SPECIFIC LIST OF ALL THE LANGUAGES OF THE WORLD OR OF ALL THE TRIBES AND RACES OF MEN. ACTUALLY, IT IS ILLOGICAL AND UNREASONABLE OF YOU OR US TO DEMAND THESE THINGS FROM THE BIBLE.

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GOD CREATED THE MOON AND THE STARS. SO, IF YOU FIND LIFE IN MARS FOR INSTANCE THAT SOON TO BE DISCOVERED LIFE-FORM IF EVER IS STILL A CREATURE OF GOD.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF ALL THINGS CREATED BY GOD. SO IF YOU WILL DISCOVER A NEW KIND OF VIRUS UNDER THE BELLY OF THE MONKEY LIKE THE DICOVERY OF HIV VIRUS OR SARS VIRUS THEY ARE NOT CONTRADICTORY TO THE BIBLE BUT SUPPORTIVE OF THE BIBLE.

O NO, NO, NO... PLEASE SHARPEN YOUR LOGIC AND YOUR REASONING. IF THE BIBLE STATES THAT "THERE IS NO OTHER LIFE OUTSIDE EARTH" THEN THERE WILL BE CONTRADICTORY. INSTEAD, THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF LIFE ON EARTH AND INVISIBLE CREATURES AND HEAVENLY HOSTS. HEAVENLY HOSTS REFERS TO THE ANGELS AND DEMONS OR IT REFERS TO THE CREATURES IN THE OUTER SPACE. IN ANY CASE, THE POSSIBLE EXISTENCE OF LIFE OUTSIDE THE EARTH IS NOT CONTRADICTORY TO THE BIBLE.
