WELL, LET US CHECK THAT PARTICULAR VERSE:

Lk 4:6 The devil said, "I will give all this power and glory to you. It has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.

 WHAT DOES SATAN MEAN WHEN HE SAID: "It [the world] has been given to me"? IT MEANS THAT GOD GAVE HIM THE FREEDOM TEMPT AND SEDUCED MANKIND AND BY TEMPTATION AND SEDUCTION HE LED THE WORLD TO SIN THUS BREAKING THE SPIRITUAL BOND BETWEEN GOD AND MANKIND. BUT, DID GOD LOOSE HIS OWNERSHIP OF CREATION AS ITS CREATOR AND DIVINE PROVIDENCE BECAUSE OF THE INFLUENCE OF SATAN? NO. THE POWER OF GOD OVER ALL IS ABSOLUTE AND SUPREME FOR THAT REASON HE IS CALLED 'ALMIGHTY'.

SATAN PROMISED JESUS THAT HE WILL HIM GIVE POWER AND GLORY IN THIS WORLD. THAT IS RIGHT. BUT SHOULD WE BELIEVE SATAN? NO. IF YOU BELIEVE SATAN THEN YOU ARE DECEIVED LIKE ADAM AND EVE WHO LISTEN TO THE ANCIENT SERPENT [Gen 3:6-7] WHO IS NO OTHER THAN BUT SATAN HIMSELF [Rev 12:9].

THE LORD JESUS DIDN'T BELIEVE THE CLAIM OF SATAN:

Mt 4:10 Jesus answered, "Go away Satan! The Scriptures say: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him.' "

WHY DID JESUS REJECTED THE OFFER OF SATAN? BECAUSE HE REJECTED HIM FOR TWO REASONS:

1. SATAN IS THE FATHER OF LIES.

Jn 8:44 Your father is the devil, and you do exactly what he wants. He has always been a murderer and a liar. There is nothing truthful about him. He speaks on his own, and everything he says is a lie. Not only is he a liar himself, but he is also the father of all lies.

2. THE WORLD COMES FROM THE LORD GOD AS ITS CREATOR AND IS GOVERNED BY HIM.

Col 1:16-17 [CEV] Everything was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God's Son, and everything was made for him. God's Son was before all else, and by him everything is held together.

JESUS CAN STOP THE STORM AND COMMAND THE SEA. THE CAN RAISE THE DEAD TO LIFE AND CAN PERFORM MIRACLES. HE CAN DESTROY AND REPLACE ALL GOVERNMENTS AT WILL. SO THE OFFER OF SATAN IS NOT ONLY BASED ON LIES BUT ALSO PATHETIC AND RIDICULOUS.

3. SATAN IS ON EARTH BECAUSE HE WAS DEFEATED BY JESUS THROUGH HIS SACRED BLOOD AND HIS HOLY WORD:

Rev 12:10  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 

 
Rev 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 

 
Rev 12:12  Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

WHAT SATAN OWNS IN THIS WORLD IS THE EVIL AND SINFULNESS. GOD IS THE CREATOR AND AUTHOR OF ALL THINGS EXCEPT EVIL AND SIN. HOWEVER, THE PRESENCE OF SATAN IN THIS WORLD IS ACTUALLY A MANIFESTATION AND A PROOF THAT THE LORD JESUS IS HIGHER AND GREATER AND MORE POWERFUL THAN HIM. HIS PRESENCE OF EARTH IS A SIGN OF DEFEAT TO THE TRUE OWNER OF THE UNIVERSE. BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD FOREVER!
